Great budget monitor for gaming

Ports have heat issues

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't know if its just my monitor or what but plugging in a HDMI or display port cable into the ports in the back, if theres metal/heat conducting material on the cables, it will heat up till its very hot to the touch(burning feeling like when you accidentally touch a hot stove or a car thats been out in the sun baking for a good while). It will get to the point of where the monitor will turn off for a hot second or three before coming back on, this happened on a consistent basis. Had to get a cheaper HDMI cable with less heat conducting material limiting myself to only 60Hz when this monitor can go much higher. Even with the cheaper cable it still heats up pretty quickly, I'm tolerating it now because its not heating to the point of the monitor shutting itself off. Bought and used this when temperatures outside were cooler, it might just overheat during the summer with how things are going. I'd return it if I still had the packaging and stuff. Now I'm just waiting for it to melt, overheat, or maybe even burst on fire on me to the point where I will have to buy a new one.

Be Warned - Not 170hz

I am not sure if this is actually a big deal, but it presented warning that if you start having screen-related issues to turn off overclocking. Nonetheless, know that this is not natively a 170hz monitor.

A Worthy Upgrade

I came from 60 hz 1080 to this and the difference is mind blowing. If you are lucky enough to step into the world of RTX 2000 or 3000 gaming, you need to make sure your monitor game is strong. Words cannot accurately describe this feeling. It was very well packaged and super easy to put together. I don't necessarily like the power brick it came with, but I guess it does save some bulk on the back of the monitor.
