Crap dont event get it on clearance

Poor quality, stay away

Don't waste your money on this!

Don't buy it and save your money, neither Asus nor BEST BUY wants to get responsible of it.

All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, and are build to last. The laptop not working properly after about a month this is a random problem. If you started experience stability or performance issue, please check if Windows and drivers are up to date. Keeping Windows, drivers and applications updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance. While accessing web applications, please ensure the laptop has access to an established router, it is getting strongh signal, and internet service is working properly since poor or unstable internet connection will definitely affect system speed and performance. If these steps were already performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. If this is not pre-installed on the laptop, please download the application at the Microsoft Store. For details on how to use "My ASUS", please go to: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1041686/.

poor quality keys

Really good bang for your buck!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This being my second Asus gaming laptop, they have continued the same stylish dark and sleek lines like that of a stealth bomber! All black aluminum and plastic. Nice bright RGB backlit keyboard with 10-key pad. Excellent use of space by minimizing frame size while maximizing the screen you see. It feels super light, easy to take with you on the go for gaming anywhere you like. Quoted to be under 5 pounds. The sound is rich having dual speakers with Dolby Atmos on board. It has 2 USB 3.2 type A ports, and two USB 3.2 type C ports, unfortunately they aren't type C charging for faster charging. It comes with 8 gigabytes of DDR5 RAM running at 4800 megahertz. Very fast but my last laptop had 8 as well and sometimes just wasn't enough with everything I was doing so it'd be nice to have had a little more if not double. A plus though is it does have another slot open to be able to expand your RAM. It comes with a 1920x1080 Full HD screen resolution, but in this day and age 4k would be a nice minimum standard. It has a 144Hz refresh rate. I had no issues with lag although I am a bit spoiled with gaming on my home television having a 600Hz rate. The screen is bright and vibrant. Excellent color overall! And I know I'm showing my age but this does not come with a CD or DVD drive, which kind of sucks if you're like me and have a lot of programs you've purchased on discs and can't load them on to your new pc unless you go by an external drive. Many of my very expensive graphics and photography editing software I've paid for can't be loaded because the websites now charge for the newer versions and don't have the servers up to download or update the older versions like mine. It's not a crazy expensive laptop build but considerably more than your basic laptop. For the price though with everything you get I'd say it's a good buy and would recommend this to others.

Solid mid-tier gaming laptop.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had a previous TUF laptop before and found that model to be a superior option and very capable laptop for the price point then... I can say I concur the second time around. While there are thinner and higher spec options out there, I have found this to have the ability to compete with them due to the fact that it has open upgradeable slots available. Thinnest wasn't too much of a big deal for me since it was portable enough in my books. I did manage to install a second 2TB SSD and upgraded the RAM to 32GB with ease since there's an open SSD slot and RAM accessibility once you open it up. Highly recommend adding a SSD and upgrading the RAM as the Ryzen 7 is highly capable and RTX is a monster. *Note: it does get really high while using with mid to high settings. The changes from previous TUF models that I've noticed is that the top half is still solid aluminum while the bottom have seemed to be composite materials. I could be wrong, but the TUF I had prior was all aluminum. Not too much of a big deal as it still feels very solid, but that aluminum overall feel is top notch! There is now a gap between the LCD and frame but seems to help the airflow as well. I've gotten used to it visually. Keyboard layout has improved while being more compact if that makes sense. Backlight is a very nice touch and LCD is super sharp with the 144Hz. For around $1K... this laptop with a few addons/upgrades can be a laptop you can use for a long time though the battery life is so so for my usage. ASUS did a good job on this one. Keep it up!

Decent Gaming Laptop Option
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went into trying this out immediately comparing it to my current gaming laptop (an Alienware machine). Out of the box I noticed that this one is a little bit lighter than expected. Definitely not a bad thing but it did stand out to me. Setup was fairly simple as expected. One of the main things that got my attention was how much more quiet the fans are on this compared to my current Alienware laptop or any of the other gaming laptops I have owned in the past. Regardless of what processor heavy game I threw at it, the A15 handled it like a champ with excellent cooling...to the point that (at least for me) this is probably one of the top positives of this laptop. Screenwise...although it's decent I wasn't impressed with the washed out colors I noticed at times. It's definitely not.a deal breaker but if you're used to a better display you might take issue with it. The keyboard is adequate although nothing to be excited about (except maybe the lights and the ability to customize them via the pre-installed app). Many may prefer to use a separate keyboard instead but that's solely a preference call. The only negative I have about the keyboard is the trackpad...it is a little stiff for me but ultimately isn't something that matters much for me. If you are one that would rely heavily on the trackpad this may be something that could be an issue but it's honestly just a subjective opinion. Overall, this is a decent gaming laptop option. While definitely better than an entry-level machine it fits comfortably in the mid-range.

Quite a bit of other people based on research have this issue with Asus. I personally believe that if you spend a significant amount of money on a laptop, it should work and not require hours of troubleshooting. Will be returning.

We do understand your concern regarding the laptop screen blacking out. If the laptop has been in sleep mode for a long time, the power button needs to be pressed and held down in order to wake it up successfully. Or, if a recent WINDOWS Update was just installed, the unit will go into a black screen temporarily while updates are being applied in the System Registry. Another solution is try to shut down the unit completely by pressing and holding the power button until it shutdown completely. Wait for at least 10 seconds then press the power button to power on. Wait until the unit boot up normally into the Home screen.

Beware of Open Box (even Excellent)

Open Box Excellent should be just that - Excellent. It was anything but. Dirty, scuffed, screen issues (pressure spots, white spots when background is dark). Very disappointing. Do better BestBuy.
