A good laptop for a beginner
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not incredibly tech savvy but wanted to make the jump into PC gaming and start play baldurs gate 3. After watching a video on how to set up a brand new gaming laptop, this one seems to be running fine with no performance issues with the small exception of the fan is pretty load. I cannot fault it too much for that however since it’s to be expected with a laptop running on high performance setting. Nothing that some headphones don’t cancel out.

Laptop review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop obviously has its pros and cons but has been a great purchase thus far. The build quality is great with a few minor issues like the laptop not closing super flush on one side. The speed and the display are really good it can run a few games on maxed out settings without issue and battery when not playing games the battery lasts for hours. However when gaming battery is depleted rather quickly. The charger it comes with is fantastic and will keep the laptop at 100% battery while playing some heavy games.

Really good for a laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.love it. i play several decently demanding games including Escape From Tarkov, Squad, and even run GTA 5 with tons of mods and have 0 issues at all. ive even played FiveM and had tons of guys tell me my laptop pushes better graphics/ frames than their desktop setups. ive had this pc for roughly a year now and its been a great one the entire time. My only downside to it would be storage space (which i use externals so its no big deal for me) and battery life (which i play with it plugged in 100% of the time so again no big deal for me). all in all a great experience with this pc.

This thing is tough!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a gamer, mostly. My only complaint would be that I should've gotten 1 TB memory instead of 512 G. But it hardly matters because the speed of so many gigs of RAM (16!) along with the 512 of SSD (versus the clunkiness of SATA), its speed in doing anything makes up for the trade-off. If necessary, I can always attach an external hard drive for added space. And, really, nobody needs as many games - MMOs, strategy games and lone RPGs - on their hard drive as I have. Two thumbs up!

Great Asus Gaming Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a couple problems at first only because the way was downloading games between two hard drives but once I removed the game apps and redownloaded them everything was fine. Before turning the computer on for the first time I added an extra 2TB Samsung 990 Pro hard drive and 32GB of Corsair Vengeance 4800MHz RAM so I can't compare to exactly how the laptop performed without upgrades. The screen looks great visually but as a few others have reviewed, it could be a little brighter at maximum brightness. I thought the keyboard was RBG but it's only backlit with white LEDs which look great and I'm not disappointed, I must just confused the specs with other laptops I was considering. Battery life is not the best. If playing a game with graphics maxed out, screen to brightest setting, and sound all the way up, I've played for about an hour before the battery was at about 40%. I don't know if that is above or below average because I've always played games on my laptops with them plugged in. The price was what really sold me on this gaming laptop. To get the laptop, 2TB hard drive, and 32GB of RAM for $1019, I have a gaming laptop comparable to other laptops at the $1400-$1600 price point. The only improvement that I would give is the amount of USB ports available. Having 2 is ok but just one more would have been perfect. Overall I highly recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a mid-tier gaming laptop that won't mind the brightness being slightly lower than some other laptops that offer super bright screens.

Very good laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s kinda hard to see in the pic, but I’m getting 200 fps and above with medium and high setting in the game Counter-Strike 2. Very reliable, fast, and battery lasts a while.

Buy the added insurance…if you can afford to
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son was very happy for about 2 days, until the screen started having black and white lines randomly go through it. At first I thought it was a connection or cord issue but after trouble shooting all of that we were still left with the annoying lines. My son waited for over a year for me to get the money together for this computer and there’s no way I could do it again. I’m a twice widowed, single, working mom with more than one child and his sister needs/wants things too. But my amazing boy understands this all too well so he still loves his computer despite its imperfections, and for this I am extremely humbled. I will, however, never stop trying to give him the best that my money can buy.

Great well rounded laptop
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can I say about this laptop that isn’t already being shown by everyone else. First this laptop has a Ryzen 7 7735hs equivalent to a 6900hx from last gen the 7600s is slightly more powerful then a 6800m and in between a 3070 and 3070ti depending on what you are doing. The laptop battery life is phenomenal I work as an IT professional and I’m getting about 10-14 hours of mixed usage which is unheard of in a decent gaming laptop. This laptop has two pci 4.0 2280 nvme slots and two DDR5 ram slots so plenty of room for upgrades. The screen is 1920:1200 so a 16:10 aspect ratio they advertise at 250 nits but the laptop is really 300 nits peak brightness which is great for indoor and office work slightly dull outside. Gaming is phenomenal charges to 50% in less than 45 min. I’ve now replaced my daily driver for this laptop

Great hardware with fatal software bugs
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a tragic case of great hardware rendered useless to me by a key software failure. It has great build quality for the price, a quality display and a solid keyboard. Not too loud when gaming and satisfying performance. The fatal flaw is it can't sleep. Yeah all windows computers seem to have sleep problems. But this thing... It without fail gets into a trance where it's rapidly trying to sleep but being woken up. The keyboard flashes the whole time and the display stays off. It appears to be a software problem Between the Ryzen CPU and Radeon GPU. Asus knows it's a problem, but I wasn't going to sit and wait for a hopeful fix. Real bummer

Great laptop, great quality!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this device for a little over a year. As a heavy writer and digital creator, I find it to be a superior product compared to other brands and devices. While it is not as fancy as the laptop I had to replace (there were internal issues with the graphics card in the other device I had). The capabilities of this computer are limitless. My bf's children constantly play games on here, such as "Stumble Guys" and "Fortnite" with ease, while I can leave some of my graphic design programs running in the background, such as "OpenAI", "Bluestacks", and "Adobe Photoshop". There seems to be no limit to the capabilities of the Ausus- TUF Gaming A16 Gaming Laptop

Good Laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Laptop is good. Boots quickly. I haven't played many games to evaluate it's gaming performance. Just played Avatar:FOP, the graphics was impressive. I reduced a star for 2 reasons. 1. There aren't many color options to choose from. 2. I got it on Black Friday, but you can get it for the same price even now through some arbitrarily named sale.

Best value, entry-level gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely an amazing purchase, especially during the holiday sales. Key features 1. the matte screen to reduce glare, don’t worry brightness will not be an issue, 2. the ease of expandability and 3. lack of crazy technicolor rainbow lights. 4. Battery life on this thing does not mess around and even in performance mode it lasted all day for office function. Running a mid-level game will knock it down quite a bit on performance mode, but still gave me plenty of time to complete a few levels – missions. If I could fault it anywhere at all, it would be the lack of SD or microSD input but I can always just use a dongle for them. I also miss the ability to unlock with fingerprints like my old asus. overall this is above and beyond anything I need now that I’ve expanded to a second NVME drive and upped the memory to 64 gigs. You can swap out the graphics card if you’re trying to play everything under the sun but as it sits, I can rock just about anything with my paired Xbox controller that is available on game pass. If you are looking for a gaming capable computer, without all the flare and exceptional, expandability, then you are already on the right page.

Glad I got this when I did
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer so far is amazing, it has great battery life and is very fast and responsive. The fan doesn't come on during regular use. I haven't tried to push it to it's limits yet but so far with light gaming it has been great. I'm so glad that I traded in my 2020 MacBook pro to get this with hardly any out of pocket

Robust and reliable
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not sure what I was expecting as I've never purchased a gaming laptop before. It's faster, but not extremely fast. Mostly, it's robust and stable. I don't get any crashes or conflicts like my last laptop. I rendered a 12gig video in under two hours when it used to take me all night while I slept lol! I wanted to be more productive and I think the ASUS helps. I haven't played a game that lagged yet! The keyboard is comfortable. I recommend disabling the touch pad when you're working. All the video software seems confusing because you wonder if AMD is conflicting with Armory Crate? The frame is pretty solid and it has a metal cover. You have two USB ports and a headphone jack as well! It may just be me, but my eyes get irratated by laptop screens. I have to use a tv or a monitor, then it's easier on my eyes. Overall, I think it's a solid notebook soo far, but the price was a little overboard. When I looked at the rankings, the A16 is up there, but not on top.

Great bang for your buck
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works wonderfully. I wish it had another USB slot and sometimes it doesn’t go to sleep when you close the lid but other than that, awesome laptop for the price. Currently running Starfield on ultra with an optimization mod running. Around 70 FPS on average! I’m in love!

Decent Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a bad laptop for the price. Has one pcie ssd slot, can be upgraded to 32gb of ram, and I recommend upgrading the wireless careld if you have a wifi 6e or 7 network. Just need a ventilation stand because the laptop puts off some heat.
