Great battery life and performance
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like it and doing good. The wifi and driver have been acting up. We have to uninstall and reinstall the driver to make it work. Weird. Hope the drivers can fix it long term. Great battery life and performance

Good Gift
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a gift for a student. It’s very portable and can play all the games they wanted to with no issues and they can also use it for schoolwork. They’re not a hardcore gamer or anything but it plays a big variety very well.

Overheats!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased two weeks ago. Overall, it's a good laptop. It's between 3 and 4 stars for me, but I decided to give it a three here so more people can see the review. I am not a gamer, but I purchased it for its specs and a non-reflective monitor. Pros: very fast and has a matte monitor that is very convenient for long day work. It is non-reflective and a real pleasure to work with! I don't feel the monitor blinds me, like many OLED laptops. Also, it is a good price for the specs. Cons: overheats enormously! Also, I already encountered a problem with the monitor suddenly turning black for a second. I hope it was a one-time thing, especially given the very short period of time that I have it. In case it continues, I will be reaching out to Best Buy for technical support.

The graphics card and the screen resolution
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a pretty good laptop to use , only thing I can say I don’t like is maybe the battery life..and the cooling on it. Also, it keeps blue screening and I don’t have any viruses. It was doing that soon as I purchased it which was pretty odd honestly, BUT! I would definitely say this is the smoothest running laptop I’ve ever had in my life! Very great with gaming as well.

Good gaming/editing laptop, weak hinges
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend initially for editing videos which it worked well for, but since he has gotten back into gaming as well and it has run most games at high quality. The only downside I've noticed is that no matter how careful you are with the screen and opening the laptop, the hinges get damaged fairly easily, eventually leading to screen damage and costly repairs. Otherwise overall a pretty good buy, especially at the sale price.

Great price for an awesome machine
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Laptop is fast, reliable, and plays games very well. I use mine mostly for BG3, and MW3, runs both perfectly at 100fps plus with no issues. Only draw back is that it gets pretty hot pretty quickly but it doesn't affect the performance in anyway.

Asus Armoury Crate problems
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to return a week after I got it. Laptop was able to run the programs I needed and I had no issues with needing more power. While using this laptop I was getting 7 to 8 hours with light to medium use. This laptop did have a lot of problems when it came to sleep. First day I noticed that the keyboard lights would not turn off correctly when laptop sat idle for a minute. It would constantly flash despite the power profile in Windows or Armoury Crate. Then screen would turn off after a few minutes but the computer would not go to sleep. I then proceeded to look up the problem and the amount of sleep issues in recent models of Asus devices is a lot. The best advice I found was to uninstall Armoury Crate, I did but same problem. I then checked task manager and found that armoury crate was still running processes in the background. I found those files and moved them to a thumb drive. Now the laptop wouldn't go sleep at all despite the windows profile has not changed. I did multiple clean installs of windows and made sure I turned off install armoury crate in bios. Same, the laptop would not go to sleep. I reinstalled armoury crate and same problem, laptop would not go to sleep. There were many times I needed to step away at work for a few hours to find the laptop was at 10 percent when I came back. I also closed the lid and put the laptop in my bag to find the laptop was still on and hot in my bag. Conclusion: If you are an individual who keeps their laptop on the charger and won't mind sleep issues. This laptop is great. But come on Asus why make the laptop mandatory to run a program in order for it to run almost normally like a regular Windows machine.

powerful laptop, solid, great price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I couldn't be happier. I was afraid battery life would be terrible and it would be overly heavy, thick and clunky. This hasn't been the case at all. While definitely thicker and heavier than a traditional non-gaming laptop, its a worthy trade-off for the power, better display. The case is very sturdy, well made, and solid. I read some critical reports of the keyboard, but I found it to be just fine. Very heppy with this powerful laptop so far. The price I paid (just under $800, after Christmas deal) was amazing for this powerful machine when compared with other gaming machines. I'm not a "gamer", I'm a software developer, but I wanted a powerful machine for development with the ability to play games periodically. But, most gaming machines seem to have terrible battery life, but not this one.

Great for a budget. Get a WiFi card.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great build quality. Specs are on par with intel i7 and a 4060. Screen refresh rate is insanely good. Little need through on the screen when fully black. The WiFi card that comes with isn’t great. Buy an intel card.

Pleasantly surprised
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this thinking a computer that was a direct name brand would be well... Okay to say the least. However, I have loved this computer, it does my normal day to day but also runs games smoothly. I honestly would recommend it in a heartbeat if you're looking for a solid laptop at a solid price.

This thing is Hot!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS TUF Gaming laptop runs fast and well. I purchased this laptop during Best Buy's Black Friday sale because of the SSD, PCIe SSD expansion slot, 16 GB DDR5 Memory, illuminated keyboard, the Ryzen 7 processor and especially the Radeon RX 7600S graphics card for improved game play and movie watching without slowing the processor. The PCIe SSD expansion slot has enough room for a SSD with heat sink, which is rare for a laptop. Positives: 1) Laptop runs fast. It is easy to use. I highly suggest purchasing as additional SSD as the 512 GB is a little small in today's world. I installed a 2 TB SSD with heatsink. It runs cool and I am able load programs and files from it seamlessly. 2) Lights indicating if laptop is plugged in or charging are very visible, even with the lid closed. For example, light is white when battery fully charged and plugged in. Same light turns amber if running from battery. 3) Keyboard is excellent size and easy to use. There is lighting for every key, including the space bar. 4) Large mouse pad (about 4.5" x 3"). The left and right buttons are towards the user to the very far left and right. I mention it only because I find myself used to a much smaller mouse pad and have to keep searching for the corners to use the buttons. This is not really a negative, just something I need to get used to. Side note - I wish there was some kind of a light at the bottom corners of the mouse pad to make it easier to locate in the dark. Afterall, that is the point of having a lighted keyboard, right? Annoyances: 1) There are two USB A and two USB C ports. While I thought this was sufficient, during set up I realized I needed way more USB A ports while installing software and files from my previous laptop. I ended up purchasing a USB hub using the C port. So while not really a negative, it was annoying. Now that the laptop is set up, this is not really needed. 2) The USB A ports are apparently prone to bumping and disconnect. The USB A port on the left is so close to the front corner of the laptop that at times my hand will gently touch it causing that device to disconnect. I will have to unplug it, wait about 30 seconds, then reattach. I have since discontinued trying to use it when sitting on the couch because this would happen so often. Negatives: 1) The one major problem I have observed after a month of ownership is when the graphics card is engaged, this laptop runs HOT! The bottom of the laptop will stay relatively cool, however, the keyboard side towards the screen gets exceptionally hot. I have not yet determined if this is a setting problem or just how it runs. I have not observed any problems but heat, over time, will take its toll. I use a powered cool pad when at home and a collapsible laptop stand when working outside of the home. I hope this was helpful. Even with my concerns, I would buy this again.

Impressive
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is a beast. Gaming performance is top notch, streaming and video creation all while completing other tasks went smoothly. First “gaming” laptop and very impressed with the specs for this price as well as how much load it can handle. My only concern is the ssd size. Maybe I’m spoiled because I built my main PC. But at least 1 TB is almost necessary nowadays for multiple games and storage for video/stream edits and images. I was also put off at first for the amount of regular USB ports, but everything seems to be moving to USB-C so not a hard stop. Side note: I really only use it plugged in. The one time I played Helldivers without external power, I only got about 1:30 out of it from full charge.

Solid laptop for the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very solid laptop. The battery lasts me a good amount of time but it does not last as long as the battery size will suggest. The gaming performance is pretty good as well. The laptop does get hot but it is within the temps that amd rates it for

Asus tuf a15
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a really nice laptop, very sleek and portable, I like the keyboard. The graphics are wonderful. The sound could be better, half the time it's a bit quiet even at full volume. Now this has only occurred maybe 3 or 4 times for me, but the laptop will freeze during gameplay (even though it's not filling the GPU) and not respond to the power button or even pulling up task manager so you have to force shut down. Overall I like it, it's good for the price.

A decent one
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a pretty decent laptop. Not to big or heavy for a gaming laptop. I can play Hogwarts Legacy on high setting with 1440p monitor so I'm kinda impressed. But it sure gets hot over 80° without any cooler and under 77° with cooler base.
