Absolutely love this laptop so far. Setting it up with the out-of-box-experience was simple enough. I was able to get straight to the desktop in 10 minutes or so. The first thing I noticed that I liked was the display. The 165 hz refresh rate is so nice to have. I really enjoy having the matte display to prevent reflections from obstructing my laptop view. Everything feels so nice and snappy with the SSD. The keyboard is something I am still getting used to with how close the keys are. The track pad is surprisingly nice and responsive. As a 3D artist and gamer, this is an affordable and perfect option to have on the go. Maya and Blender both run with no issues. Minecraft with default graphics settings gives me a solid 120 FPS. I noticed people complaining about battery life, but that is to be expected with a gaming laptop. This laptop is so nice, 10/10 would recommend. :)

Had this for almost a month now. Very versatile i use it for work in the morning and still can game at night. I got it hooked on a 34 inch monitor when at home. And its light enough to be carried when on the go. Can play AAA titles on high settings.

I’ve been looking for a gaming computer that would allow me to play my favorite PC games for quite some time now. I impulsively purchased this after it was recommended to me by a chat specialist, I love how fast this is. I love how vibrant everything shows up as well, it really gives my games life compared to the old laptop I had.

I purchased this gaming laptop to use for 3D software and it is running very smooth. The motor isn’t loud at all when I run the software! There is also no lag when running the 3D software and other programs at the same time. I love it and I’ve already recommended it to several other people.

This laptop is by far the best gaming laptop for its sale price. The first thing I did was get a larger capacity M.2 SSD & another stick of DDR5 ram to make it even better and faster, but is absolutely useable if you dont want or cant afford to add them. The GPU is between a 4050 and 4060, from the research ive done anyways. Im getting around 100 FPS on COD with near maxed out settings. The screen is pretty nice, gets decently bright and I havent noticed any issues. The laptop is surprisingly quite under load. With an hour of gameplay the keyboard and palm area was warm, however it wasnt bothersum. Overall, im happy with the laptop. This will definitely get you playing most games on max/high settings with the exception of games like Cyberpunk where you need a 4090 to get decent frame rates :p

First impression: My first impression of the Asus TUF A16 FA617NS laptop is that it is a very well-made laptop. The body is all plastic, but it feels solid. The keyboard offers good response with just the right amount of resistance to avoid bouncing for a two-finger typist like me. I really like the backlit keys. Not only are the keys backlit, but the edge of the keys are backlit as well, making it very easy to navigate the keyboard in the dark. This laptop is aesthetically pleasing, from the shape, body design, font of the keys, and the location of the status lights. Quality. The Asus TUF A16 FA617NS laptop has a plastic shell that feels very sturdy and strong. The screen hinges are tight and hold the screen at any angle without the screen slipping. There is a small gap at the bottom of the screen to allow the status lights to be seen if the lid is closed. I like how they did that. The case has ventilation slots on the sides with exhaust out the back. The laptop gets warm when pushing it, but nothing uncomfortable. Specifications: The specifications are really good for this laptop: • AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS 3.20 GHz 8C/16T Processor • AMD Radeon RX 7600S Graphics Card. • WD PC SN740 512 GB NVMe drive • 16 GB DDR5-4800 RAM • Wi-Fi 6 2 x 2 MIMO • 16” FHD+ 1920 x 1200 WUXGA Screen I/O Ports: • 1x 3.5mm Combo Audio Jack • 1x HDMI 2.1 FRL • 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A • 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C support DisplayPort™ • USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C support DisplayPort™ / power delivery • 1x RJ45 LAN port Setup: The setup was just like any Windows 11 setup. Setting it up with a Microsoft account is the easiest and is what I chose. It came with Windows 11 version 22H2 so I didn’t need to do that update. There were a few updates, then I installed office and then Steam. Performance: This laptop is fast. I don’t play FPS games, but I fly fixed wing simulators and FPV drone simulators, both cinematic and Acro. Like always, I started with DRL drone racing simulator on Steam. This laptop did better than all my other gaming laptops. With all the graphics settings on high, there was no digital pixelation or blur. It was as real as I have seen from a laptop. I then moved on to Liftoff, another drone simulator. Here I flew faster, making very quick turns and snaps. Again, this laptop never stressed when pushing it. In both simulators, the fan did come on and never turned off while flying. I have heard some complaints about the noise, but I did not find it distracting at all. Also, I never saw a single Low FPS warning, something my last gaming laptop would give me on both of those programs. Then I moved to RealFlight 9.5. This is a remote-controlled airplane simulator. I have the Turbo Timber Evolution 1.5 remote control airplane, and this simulator is for that airplane. This is not a high-speed simulator. However, the graphics while flying on this laptop were amazing. I haven’t seen graphics this good yet on RealFlight. Finally, I flew Microsoft’s Flight Simulator. Flying on this laptop was different than my other ones. The noticeable improvements were in the graphics shifting while landing. The constant changes looked real, and the closer I got to landing, the clearer the graphics got. I have two main types of flying simulators: high-speed acrobatic drone simulators and realistic flight simulators. In the high-speed simulators, the graphics did a good job of staying smooth without any glitching or stuttering. In the realistic simulators, the graphics did a good job of realistically changing with the flight angles, altitudes, and especially with landings. Conclusion: The Asus A16 FA6 is a very nice, good-looking laptop. The black finish is beautiful, although it shows fingerprints and smudges easily. Simple cleaning wipes bring the shine right back. The backlit keyboard looks nice and illuminates the entire keyboard, not just the letters and numbers. It has plenty of ports for most any task, and Wi-Fi 6 for solid, stable wireless communications. And for my use, provides very high performance for my flying simulations, with graphics that can keep up with my flying. I highly recommend this laptop. It has now replaced both my current gaming laptop and my current carry laptop as my primary laptop. With one laptop I can do my job and fly my simulations while at lunch.

If you are looking for something affordable this is what you want. The only drawbacks are the storage space, it would occasionally get a Bit hot depending on the game being played and you cant change the keyboard lights. Other than that it works fine.
