Overall decent laptop

With not knowing much about pc/laptops it still does great. 150-160 fps in turbo mode, pictures are clear, had some flaws but with 15-30 minutes i even worked them flaws out. I wasn't happy with my first pick up tho since i exchanged because it supposedly had a manufactured mark on the front of the casing. After exchanging i supposedly also had to pay an extra $18 ""shipping tax"" when in all it should of been exchanged and shipped a new one for no charger. Shame on BEST BUY.

Decent performance with one hiccup

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This laptop works great, I've been having a fun time playing cyberpunk on it, it tends to run a little warm but nothing super concerning, the one hiccup I had is with the amd smartswitch, its a feature that switches the gpu to the igpu when the gpu isn't needed, like when you're browsing the web, whenever I would put the laptop to sleep or closed the laptop and tried to open it again some time later the screen would flicker and not respond, very annoying but with that setting turned off its been fine, I also added a 1tb ssd to it since it came with 500gb which was very easy to do

The laptop excels in performance, powered by a robust processor and high-end graphics card. Gaming on this machine has been a delight, with smooth frame rates and stunning visuals even on demanding titles. The graphics capabilities truly stand out, delivering vibrant colors and sharp details that enhance the overall gaming experience. However, after 18 months, I encountered a significant issue: the laptop powered on but displayed a black screen. After troubleshooting, I took it to Geek Squad for diagnosis. Unfortunately, the motherboard needs to be replaced. This unexpected failure has left me frustrated, especially considering the laptop's otherwise stellar performance. In hindsight, I wish I had purchased a protection plan, as it might have alleviated some of the stress associated with this issue. The ASUS warranty is 12 months only. Despite the motherboard failure, I still appreciate the laptop's performance and graphics capabilities. If you're considering an ASUS gaming laptop, just be mindful of potential long-term reliability and consider investing in additional protection.

It runs fast and smooth and transitions between modes easily. I especially love that it has side fans that run quietly, even when working hard. My only concern is how hot the laptop keyboard gets at times. I also have to occasionally screw the bottom casing back on because the screws come loose.

Turn on open box models before buying

Should have looked at it while it was on at the store. There were horizontal lines on the bottom of the screen. Not a fan of the keyboard font. Kind of hard to read due to it being stylized. Bought a legion instead since the font was simple like a macbook's. Downloading games for xbox pass was slow. Needed to go into system to allow computer to download faster.
