Best Buy is misleading their customers-- Don't buy

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't waste your money and don't buy it from Best Buy-- Best Buy agent sold me the total Membership and basically misled and lied to me when I bought it - they promised I will be covered for 2 years and even if I cancelled it anytime my 2 years coverage would stay for all products I buy. I have not renewed the membership after one year and one of the USB-C port stopped working. I contacted the Geeksquad online and they advised to schedule appointment and go to the store-- I did and went to the store - the service agent advised that the sales gave me a wrong information when I signed up for the total membership and my laptop is not covered and in order to fix the USB-C it. will cost me $799 (same price of what I have paid for the laptop)-- this is how Best Buy treat their customers. I am very disappointed with Best Buy company and with Asus product. Please stop buying anything from Best Buy.

Bulky and out of charge

And when it’s charged but not plugged in, the performance is terrible and mostly geared at eating up the battery life so it can go back to being plugged in. This truly is a mobile desktop more than a laptop. Gaming was meh on it as it doesn’t handle top tier games and for other games, basic non gaming laptops performed just as well if not for even longer and better when not plugged in.

Bad unit out-of-box. ASUS quality issues, UPS, ???

The unit would not power up. Checked the obvious things that a guy with decades of experience in IT would check and determined the unit was bad. Wasted two hours to troubleshoot followed by another two hours to return it. Should not have to do this for a new product. Best Buy did not care (would not offer $50 concession on replacement item). Could have picked up another unit in store, but was too disappointed with three defective laptop purchases via Best Buy Online in the past two months. Based on all the reviews, I suspect this is a great laptop. It's a shame I didn't get the opportunity to find out. Moral of the story? If you can, purchase at the store, and ask a sales associate to power the device on and verify it's working. Otherwise, be prepared for the worst.

Good function poor battery life

The biggest drawback is a very very short battery life. About an hour of nonstop gaming on a very old strategy game. Supreme commander.

Built cheap

This caused the screen to crack and hinge to break one day when I opened it. Asus manufacture warranty is a joke. Laptop seems to work fine overall all but stray away from asus. If you do buy. Don’t close the laptop right after gaming because they use cheap adhesive.

It could be the trackpad but still, it hasn’t even been half a year yet. The screen also bugs out for a split second. Both of these issues happen every single time I use this laptop. I don’t use it everyday since I have a PC. The build quality is honestly a cheap plastic build.

Broken in only 10 months!

Have had ongoing problems with this computer, to include having to keep reinstalling Windows 11 due to errors, the external monitor just shutting down and having to repeatedly tap on the return key to get it to come back, and most recently, the hinge broke, tearing away the bottom part of the screen! Only 10 mos. old and now sent out for manufacturer to repair... 2 - 3 weeks! Performance with video editing is mediocre. Struggles with Davinci Resolve. Will never buy another ASUS product again; lousy quality.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dont buy this if you are gaming. i am not the most savvy when it comes to laptops but i needed something to travel and WoW with, the guy told me this is the best money could buy and its on sale! i was very excited. out of the box its nothing but crashes, black screens and bad quality. i was told to get a fan because the gpu runs too hot and it has an auto reset when it does. i did. i am no playing wow on 1 overall graphics (thats the absolute lowest i play on 9 w my desktop i built 9 years ago) and it still will black screen and reset if there is too much going on and u can imagine how frustrating that is gaming. i dont play any other games but wow really isnt that demanding, i can only imagine being in a fire fight and u black screen for 3 secs. dead. dont buy this. unless your going to use it as a work/google machine.
