Frame / hinge quality issues

The screws of the frame started falling out within 6 months of buying the laptop (just with home use) and then very soon after the hinge / body has broken. Seems like a very common issue noted on this laptop in reviews. The plastic is very weakly made to hold up the size of the screen. Its a shame as the laptop is quite decent but not usable in less than 12-14 months of purchase. Repair is not worth it so now have to buy a new one so no sure its worth it. Probably skip ASUS from this point forward.

But my experience with it is a nightmare.

Disappointing

I'm a casual gamer so I don't need anything amazing. About four to five months in, I started to get blue screens. I've taken it to a few people who haven't been able to fix it. After a full reset, I'm exasperated. It's now January 2025 and I'm shopping for a new laptop. It could just be the particular one I got. Otherwise, it's a good laptop and I haven't had issues running games on it.

ASUS let me down

One, the webcam quality looks like something out of 2001. It's horrible. I then purchased the same webcam that I use on my desktop and the quality wasn't much better. Mind you, the specs on my desktop are slightly below this laptop. The AMD smartaccess software freezes from time to time and I then have to go to the Task Manager to shut it down. There's one game I tried to play and after 15 minutes there was a memory buffer problem. I've never had that problem on my desktop. I installed a memory optimizer that clears the memory every 15 minutes which appears to have helped. Also, the whole system will freeze every so often. At the time of this review, I've used this system for approximately 8 days.

Don't buy this piece of garbage

This laptop constantly crashes, it doesn't matter what you're doing. Do a search on the Internet for this problem and you'll see many others with the same thing. Some found downgrading the BIOS works. I did not find that. So basically Best Buy sold me a defective laptop. I'll never buy another ASUS again and Best Buy definitely lost me as a customer.

Dead in under an hour.

I installed steam discord and a few games went to launch cyberpunk and it turned off like the power was cut completely. Will not turn on won't show any signs of life. I literally got it yesterday so I could play games while traveling for work and didnt even get to boot up. My review might be invalidated if I get a functional replacement but this has been an awful experience so far
