Depending on what you play, the 16gb (8GBx2) should be enough. For my needs, I was side-grading vs upgrading to this laptop. Little did I know and begin to appreciate how much the little things matter. This computer can do fairly intensive workloads and gaming on silent and be quite pleasant to use without headphones. No major performance loss to note, but it does push out a fair amount of heat. With the battery saver and battery charge limiter, I was comfortably able to expect 5+ hours depending on what you were doing at any given moment. Perusing reddit or forums, 7+ hours.

The powerful laptop I recently acquired exceeded my expectations. Its robust performance, driven by a high-end processor and ample RAM, effortlessly handles demanding tasks like video editing and gaming. The sleek design and vibrant display add a premium touch to the overall experience. Despite its power, the laptop manages heat well, ensuring prolonged usage without compromise. The battery life is commendable for such potency, providing flexibility on the go. Overall, this powerful laptop delivers on both performance and aesthetics, making it a compelling choice for users seeking top-tier computing capabilities.

Nice quality laptop, Spectacular battery life, Screen is Mid, if on sell a a very good pick up. The [Ryzen 7 7735HS] is a slightly better, but refreshed [6800H], Although it still holds up well for any thing you might need. The [rx 7600s] is a decent gpu for modern gaming, on par with [Nvidia RTX 4050] maybe slightly better. What your really getting with this laptop is nicer quality, sturdier built machine from a reputable brand, priced competitively with similar specced laptops that might not have as good build quality as this machine does.

Really like this laptop You know the specs - AMD Ryzen 7, 16GB RAM, 500GB HDD Lets talk about the machine - TUF is in the name so lets start there Smooth finish in black on the top - doesn't hold fingerprints but could be scratched bottom has a "powder coated" textured matte finish - contact points are rubber feet on each corner with point in the middel Screen lid is semi rigid with little flex when opening from the corners - Although there is a nice extention over the middle that provides a nice place to grip and open comfortably- as a man at 6'2" over 200lbs and large hands this is great - i'm not looking for a small bevel to wedge my finger into to open laptop itself is semi thing - as its supports a FULL network RJ45 jack but the weight is lighter than other laptops of similar design. Does have rear and bottom venting. Audio is decent - speakers are on the bottom and on each front corner. This puts out a moderate volume for decent desk utilization and private viewing for movies and some gaming. I would recommend a headset or headphones for louder or more immersive experience. I do although like the old school 3.5mm jack and hard buttons for vol -/+/mute Keyboard is led back lit. There are controls for brightness and color and a few other effects via the armory app. The keyboard has a nice feel and easy to type on. I really love the full numpad. The mouse is semi offset but my right palm does still rest on it when typing. I have although not had it disrupt my typing. The Armory app does provide a way to setup different operating profiles for gaming/work/etc that sets limits and performance dynamics. OOBE is as expected - but something new i noticed is mobile phone integration. I really like this function and prevents me from always looking at my phone during work or a gaming session. power brick is NOT usb-c. not sure the reason why my only complaint for this laptop is the lack of ports on the right side - only 1 USB-A port to be found all others are on the left side. NONE are on the rear

This laptop has been great so far! Fairly lightweight for a laptop with good hardware, I was expecting it to be a bit more cumbersome. I was looking to downsize from a large desktop setup that I built in 2016, and this laptop definitely fits the bill and will hopefully last a long time! It performs great for what I need, which is some gaming on older titles like TF2 and GTA V. I don't do a lot of heavy gaming so I can't speak to it's performance on new titles. When not gaming, it's of course very quick to launch apps and browse online with no lagging that I've noticed. The battery life is decent, I can get about 4 hours of light use before I need to charge it, but playing really any game cuts the battery life in half pretty quick. Definitely bring your charger with you if you plan to use the laptop for a few hours outside of home. The only complaint I have is that the portion of the charger cable that is removable from the brick can come loose pretty easily, so I have to double check that it's secure.

Asus and AMD - A deal when on sale

This laptop was not my first choice when it came to buying a new gaming laptop. However, it was at such a good price that I couldnt resist buying it. It had the price point and enough power to capture my interest. I got it on sale for $799, which is a steal considering how expensive a decent rig can be. However, this isnt going to be the end all gaming laptop and if that's what yoh are looking for, I'd suggest looking at some more expensive options. Packaging is nice but not anything super amazing. The laptop did have issues in the beginning, going black when trying to log in and being finicky when downloading updates. There is a lot of trial and error with this all AMD product. However, when you get all the updates done and make adjustments in the armory crate application, you have a rig that plays games almost seemlessly. It doesnt hurt that you get Starfield Premium Edition for free download when you buy this system, so that's a plus. Just don't expect to play games in 4K with this laptop.

I know the Best Buy and ASUS sites say this computer can only hold 32GB of RAM, but I have 64GB working perfectly now, in mine. This was bought over Black Friday and I got 64GB of RAM, based off what Micron Technologies said would work in this specific model. I called Asus twice to be told 32GB was all it could ever do, but getting back to the Micron chat person, they said they guaranteed the memory would work. It did, and now I can have a few virtual servers to play with. It’s hard to go wrong with this system. You even get a new USB 4.0 port with it. Neither the USB 4.0, nor the 64GB of RAM, are on the box or in the descriptions for this computer, yet, though. My computer was made September 2023, so look for that date, or later, to have the new capabilities.

This laptop has great performance for gaming. The integration of AMDs processor and GPU software is much better to work with over Intel + Nvidia. The performance on the laptop was good, you can play all games at high. Battlefield, Satisfactory, Diablo. My only real dislike is, I wish these laptops would be designed to run cooler. I cringe seeing 90-100c cpu temps because with shared heat pipes, it drives up your GPU temps. Granted these run within spec but the air output is hot and I would feel better about holding onto one of these for years if it didn’t sit a boiling temperature literally for hours if gaming. Your mileage may very as not all games place the same load on the PC. Battery life is decent, it just seems like best case is around 6 hours with web based work and streaming. Depending on the price of this, it’s occasionally a touch choice because it’s priced around other laptops with better Nvidia performance or the benefit of the tensor cores for Dlss. If that isn’t something you care about then this is a very good alternative.

I bought this laptop as a birthday present for myself. My boyfriend is a big PC gamer and got me interested. He built his own, but because I lack the space and exact knowhow, I decided to go for a laptop. I chose this ASUS laptop because it had most of the specs I wanted that was in my price range. I absolutely love this laptop. It fits on my desk, and is way more powerful than I initially thought. You can upgrade up to 32gb of RAM, and I believe up to 1tb of SSD storage. I upgraded my RAM and it was super easy to replace. Mind you, I've never touched PC gaming before this laptop and I easily switched the RAM out myself. I'm definitely going to add some more SSD storage eventually. Its a solid little machine that's perfect for getting into PC gaming. I'm absolutely astounded at how much technology has advanced that I get games that look pretty good for the price that fits on my desk. I highly recommend this laptop for someone who's just getting started.

I sat and combed over hundreds of reviews and different laptops for around 1000$ I simply couldn't find something that could fit every criteria. If on paper it worked well it didn't when being put to the test but for this laptop I cannot say the same. I've been actively using it since I bought it and it has blown my mind. Aside from user error it hadn't failed me once. I can freely edit and multitask without problem. Best yet it keeps up with most new games on high graphics. I cannot commend this laptop enough. I have had little to no crashes and little frame lag or other problems. Don't expect the world for 1000$ but it is honestly faster then most consoles out and I can truly say it's helped bring me into the PC world. It's in my opinion the best full time gaming laptop for the price.

It is a very impressive laptop at this price point. It's got your average gaming laptop thickness but it is built like a tank. Games run well and the display is very good. Surprisingly it is a pretty quiet gaming laptop and its battery life is really good.

I bought this laptop because I was going on a trip out of town for about a week and wanted to be able to do some light gaming during my downtime. The graphics and processor installed are more than capable of running normal games at good settings and I never had an issue with it running World of Warcraft and some less demanding titles. The only thing was that it would get warm after a few minutes running a game and I didn't play on it for extended hours to really test it. It's not the most expensive or specced out option nor is it the cheapest so I think its a pretty good pick for a midrange gaming PC that you can do some work on and take with you.

Great performance for a budget laptop. Can get hot while gaming. With optimized settings, the battery can last 8-10 hours with media consumption, office work, and web browsing. Battery will go quick on gaming and intensive tasks (like a majority of gaming laptops).

Great gaming laptop! Had a few issues with the Asus software but found an alternative and everything works well now. Upgraded to 32gb Ram(2x16gb) and added another gen4 drive and this thing is all set. Wifi speed is a little on the slow side but will be replaced with an Intel ax210. This laptop plays everything I've thrown at it at near highest settings at 120+ fps. The screen is great and the 16:10 aspect ratio is a nice addition. Minimal backlight bleed(almost none on my panel) The combo of having an Amd cpu and gpu is really great, the technology they've included for these All Advantage laptops is really neat and while I leave my laptop plugged in 24/7 I'm glad some of the power saving features are there nonetheless.

Having used this laptop for 2 months, I am fairly satisfied with the build quality, performance, and overall value. Got it on sale when there were few alternatives within the same price range of under $800 that were offering the same amount of performance and display quality. Essentially offers rtx 4050-4060 level performance with lesser ray tracing performance and limited frame gen equivalent. Biggest con is that it does get a bit hot when gaming, especially the CPU but this can be alleviated by enabling a temp limit or lowering power limit to the CPU in a program like ghelper. If the price is closer to 1k, then I might look into something else like tuf f15 or zephyrus g14/16 however.

I’ve had this laptop for about 9 months now and I love it. It was definitely worth the purchase. It handles all my games very well and it’s not laggy. I will say to make sure you don’t use it on a blanket or anything that would cause the fans to accumulate dust. If they do, make sure to clean them gently as mine did stop for a bit which caused my laptop to overheat very quickly and lag badly. Cleaned them and it went right back to normal. All in all, I definitely recommend this laptop.
