The quality of Asus is satisfy me on busines and entertaintment platforms. I Think in the future 4.th one will be Asus Again.

Major Problems: No proper sleep support The laptop does not support S3 sleep, and its Modern Standby (S0ix) implementation is unstable. This leads to freezes during sleep, wake, or even idle. Embedded Controller (EC) lockups The EC can freeze the entire system when the display turns off or when certain sensors update. This results in hard system freezes with no logs. GPU panel power‑off bugs When the screen turns off after inactivity, the AMD GPU or display bridge can hang, freezing the system even when fully awake. ACPI firmware issues ASUS’s ACPI tables and power‑state transitions are unreliable, causing random freezes unrelated to Windows or drivers. No BIOS options to fix it ASUS removed S3 sleep and provides no way to disable Modern Standby or adjust EC behavior. Users are forced into unstable power modes. Bottom Line: The ASUS TUF A16 has good hardware, but the firmware is so flawed that the system can freeze during normal use, idle, or display‑off. These issues persist across clean installs, driver updates, and BIOS versions. Stability requires disabling multiple power features that should work out of the box.

We do understand your disappointment with the laptop and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing system freeze and it doesn't support S3. Indeed, modern laptops, including the FA608 series, lack hardware support for S3 sleep, they rely entirely on S0ix Modern Standby. To bypass the unstable sleep states and avoid system freezes, go to Windows Settings > Power > Additional power settings. try to change your power button and closing lid actions to Hibernate instead of Sleep. In the Control Panel > Power Options > choose what the power buttons do. Click "Change settings that are currently unavailable," uncheck Turn on fast startup, and save. Ensure the laptop is using the latest version of the Armoury Crate utility software posted at: https://armoury-crate.com/ . Additionally, ensure Windows, drivers, applications and BIOS. Updates for the laptop are posted at: https://www.asus.com/us/laptops/for-gaming/tuf-gaming/asus-tuf-gaming-a16-2025/helpdesk_download?model2Name=FA608UP. Furthermore, if you are playing games online, ensure the laptop has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will affect system stability and performance. If these steps were performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application.
