If you paid for a new unit and received a refurbished one, I would recommend returning the unit as soon as possible. Regarding your chipset fan concern, rest assured that you will not see any performance issues if a GPU is mounted above it. That fan and heatsink are designed to automatically maintain peak performance regardless of configuration. This one is setup very nice when it comes to connections. Everything is well placed for dropping this into any gaming case.

Disapointing that aura on means that the lights go on only when the computer is off. And the lights go off when the computer is on. After a bios flash/update I can at least disable the feature entirely. Also, I tried several times to install the software and it didnt work for me. The software is the only way to contol the color and it comes stock with a rainbow pulsing effect but only when the computer is off. This board is great as a computer but lame as far as RGB goes.

Bought this for a friend to get him up and gaming and he couldn't be happier. The PCs performance is a little above average. Paired with a Radeon RX 480 I had laying around he can play everything he wants at 1080p with great frame rates.
