Cable too short

I have an older all in one PC and with the USB port being located higher on the PC the drive was partially suspended due to the cable being too short. 4” more of cable and I would have been able to use the drive. I could have put a book under the drive to fix the problem but have limited desk space. If you have a laptop thie cable length should not be an issue.

So, I purchased this this disc drive as so I can listen to my CD's and watch my DVD's. While it does say this disc drive is compatible with the Windows 11 that came installed in my laptop, it will only work if you switch your laptop to "S Mode". Thus, it is not perfectly compatible.

The optical disc drive is compatible with Windows 11. In order to successfully make it work, please add the Media Feature Pack. For tutorials on how to do this, please go to: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/media-feature-pack-for-windows-10-11-n-september-2022-78cfeea5-c7d9-4aa8-b38f-ee4df1392009. Also, ensure Windows is up to date.

Best Buy charged my credit card but could not provide the item as scheduled. After repeated delays, multiple phone calls to customer service, and no hard delivery date - only "we don't have any in our warehouses" - I canceled the order. I won't shop with Best Buy again.

If there are some scratches, a "skipping over damaged area" alert pops up and the DVD player quits. The player then will be fussy for a bit even if you try to play another DVD in perfect condition. I do love that the cord stores inside the player!
