Does not work with Android system. Work well with Windows.
We are truly sorry you were not aware that the device does not support android and for the inconvenience, this has caused you. This model support windows XP-10 and Mac OS X 10.6 or higher. ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and final inspections for both hardware and software before we send them out to the stores worldwide. It worked for a day

After a day, it initiated copying, then quit and ejected the disk. I used the internal writer to copy the same project and had no problem. After 3 ruined discs, I am returning it. Disappointing and a waste of my time.
Asus is usually pretty reliable so I may try re-purchasing. I will update this review if the replacement meets expectations.

Returned. It did not work with my HP Spectre. Didn't work with the type c USB and requires two ports for type a USB. Exchanged for LG external drive which actually works, with one type a usb.

Not For MacBook Pro

Despite the information provided by the lackluster support at ASUS, and the packaging, this drive just would not work with a 16” MacBook Pro 2019. It could open and close....but not read any disc.

Very unhappy
Order was not there for pick up
No one knew when it would be in
Then got an email it was canceled and sent back for not picking it up
Paid with gift card and have no idea how to get my money back
Will not be returning for any other purchases

The product didn’t work with my PC my guess is my PC was not compatible

Yes, it may be a compatibility issue. However, if you are running Windows, please try to resolve this by updating Windows and the chipset driver for the PC. Also, ensure a DVD application or software was installed in order to use the optical disc or DVD drive properly.

I could not burn consistently with this. It would error out on my Windows 10 machine for burning but read discs just fine.

Doesn't work with a mac laptop. It didn't even have enough power to spin a CD. Ended up returning it and buying a cheaper one that works.

I need it for basic tasks, like watching a DVD movie or just adding old programs (CDs) to my computer.
The Asus ZenDrive works as it should be.
I tried to install the Asus ZenDrive software but my device doesn't accept it. I have no idea if I'm losing something because I can't install it, but so far, I bought it for the simple tasks I mentioned above and works great.
I'm very happy with this purchase. Actually this is the second AsusDrive I buy from Best Buy. The another one is used very often as well. Buying online and in person at the store have been both very good experiences.
I recommend the AsusDrive device and Best Buy store.

Plays and burns CD's and DVD's with equal aplomb. Great for my needs to burn an occasional CD or DVD from my files. It's also much quieter than the unit I replaced. It was plug and play with my laptop. At $32.99, it was well worth the investment. It got great reviews and I agree with them.

Does what I needed - replaced an older USB drive that no longer ripped music CD's accurately. Reasonably priced. I haven't tested anything more than basic CD ripping but pleased with the unit.
