As more and more people cut the cord and drop their landline for wireless, cordless phones are going the way of wired phones, into the museum. Still, there are plenty of people that get cheap or free wired phone service that want a cordless option. I bought this one for an elderly relative who doused the old one into a glass of ginger ale. This phone has an important feature that has been dropped from almost all new cordless phones: the ability to assign a directory number to a single digit 2-9 that enables one press and hold calling. No scrolling through the directory, no pressing the green button, just pick up the phone, press and hold the single digit to dial. If you have an elderly person in your household, this feature is priceless. I paid for an answering machine they don't need just to get this feature.

My parents were constantly yelling into the phone and complaining about not hearing the caller. So I replaced their old cordless setup for a new one. They don't like change but they are quite pleased with this ATT set up. Great for the hard of hearing and easy to use.

I just replaced our old cordless phone set that was losing it's display capability. This AT&T set is excellent for $50 (used a Best Buy birthday $10 off the list price), It does not block calls but does announce who is calling so that you avoid picking up robocalls. The display is big and bright and the keypad is big so dialing is really easy or if you have to hit numbers for a phone tree. Very nice set.

It is a great system and I love the fact that it can block spam and unwanted calls. I have always used AT&T phone systems and am very pleased with them.

I was concerned because I was switching this for another phone and didn't know if I'd be without phone service while charging them. So I tried without hooking it up to my landline and they charged just fine. That gave me time to enter in the directory from the old phone one number at a time, double checking to make sure I put in the right numbers. Then all I had to do was record my outgoing message and hook them up to the landline. It didn't take long to adjust to using it and so far I have no complaints. I didn't realize that it does tell you WHO is calling if you let it ring more than two times and I do get a giggle at some of the pronunciations.

I couldn't be happier with the new telephone set. It meets all my expectations! I love the announcements it makes before reaching the phone. That way I can determine if I want to answer that particular call or not. The numbers are large (which I also like). It surpasses the old phone (of a different brand) I had, so am happy we found this replacement.
