We were looking for a phone for the bedroom and didn't want a whole bunch of features, yet didn't want one that was so light it would fall off the nightstand. This one is just right. It is heavy enough to sit properly without being easily dislodged and is simple and easy to use. Very good value.

    Good, basic corded phone

Hard to find an old school, full-size corded phone that has caller ID but NO answering machine. This is easy to use and setup. My only complaint is that the product image might lead some (like me) to believe the Caller ID LCD display lights up, but it does not. Because of that, depending on where you put the phone, the display can sometimes be hard to read if there isn't enough light.

I was looking for a landline phone for a newly installed phone line at home for some business, mostly personal use. This is perfect and very inexpensive. It took a while to ship though (one week) and was an online only purchase. Otherwise, I couldn't be happier with the service and purchase.

I researched on this phone before I purchased it and found that it would be easy set up and I needed a phone with speaker and with Caller ID AND Call-Waiting.

I've bought two of these phones: one for me and one for my mother. We both appreciate how easy it is to use, even without programming anything. Love the speakerphone feature and the big keys.

The CL2909 AT&T phone has batteries

This model CL2909 corded phone has batteries. When I bought the CL4940 AT&T phone I did not realize that it did not have batteries. When a phone does not have batteries, then you must plug into the electrical receptacle to use the phone. This prevents you from using a long cord and taking the phone into the next room. So I like the CL2909 since it has batteries and the speaker is good. I took another brand of phone back to Wal Mart because the speaker was too small to hear well. I wish the instructions were simpler to follow. You have to download the longer instructions from the Internet.

Just what I needed. I ordered a wall phone but when it was delivered, it appeared to be a desk phone. I returned it to Best Buy and the very kind, patient clerk converted it to a wall phone. I am very grateful.

Average Phone for an average price

Easy to set up and use. Sound quality is average, but not horrible. Speakerphone quality is good only when close to the phone. Not an expensive phone, so average on most features, but it works.

Overall, the phone is a decent value for the cost. The features are all useful. However, I feel that even when set on high, the information display is dim.

Whoever heard of a non-cordless landline phone that needs batteries? If a company can't design a phone that runs on the power provided by the phone cord, then they should offer an AC adapter for it.

The phone cord on the this phone kept coming out and had a short in it, then 7 months after I bought it, the digital read out screen went out. Couldn't see who was calling or beeping in what's the use of Caller Id if you can see who's calling. Don't buys this phone pay a little more and get a better one.
