Good buy for the price

That's pretty much the best price for a standard sized corded phone. I choose this mainly because It doesn't need the adater, so it can be used at where the voltage input is not 110V. One thing needs to improve is that the phone won't be able to keep the contacts that you saved when battery is removed or runs out.

No caller ID displays

I do have caller ID through my landline phone co, (my old landline phone did display), but these do not. Otherwise the phones are OK

A struggle

AC power required to use speaker

I assumed the speaker would work whether the phone was hooked up to AC power or not, but I was mistaken. You have to have the AC adapter plugged into electrical socket in order to use speaker phone, which makes it useless to me.
