Too many steps to get a phone number

ATT cordless phones

Landlines and home phones VS Cell Phones only

Caller ID does not work with some carriers

When friends call my cell phone which is synced to this phone, the ID is not recognized as an "ok" caller and they get blocked. Also doesn't seem to recognize other phones in the house. If I pick up a different phone, this one will continue with the message greeting and then hang up.
