Good Phone lots of extensions
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The phone works as advertised. The feature to add your cell phone to the phone is awesome (no more looking for where you left you cell at home). I wish it had a head phone jack on the phone as the bluetooth option does not have much range. It works but like a good headset does.

Easy Set Up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone set was easy to set up and configure. The display has HUGE characters on it, so it is very easy to read, too. In fact, my only minor complaint is that I wish I could reduce the display text a little!

Home Phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to have a home phone. I liked the fact that it came with several others that I could put in other rooms in the house. I have not used all the features it comes with yet. It works great for me.

Big Improvement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This cordless phone set replaced a cordless phone set that was 10 years old. The range is better, the sound quality is clear, and calls from my cell can be forwarded to this phone. It's everything you want in a home phone.

Good Sound, Great Look
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We still have our land line, but we use our cell phones for most calls (especially the long distance ones), so we were looking for an "all-in-solution". While researching the offering, I found that the choice seemed to come down to this series of phones (CLP99x83) and the new Panasonic line (KX-TGE27x). We are coming from a 6 year-old Panasonic 5.8 gigahertz cordless system, so I was rather leaning toward the Panasonic, but the new line just wasn't that attractive, though it is feature-rich. This AT&T set caught my eye, and its capabilities are impressive. The 1.9 GHz frequency is supposed to minimize interference with other devices, such as microwave ovens and wireless routers, and the sound quality of the phones is very good. Calling our home from my cell, I was surprised at how clear and loud the conversation was - I asked if my partner was on one of our two corded AT&T phones, but lo and behold, he was on the new cordless. The old Panasonics lacked this clarity. We both have Galaxy S4 cell phones, and they both paired efforlessly; we were able to download our contact lists, and though the contacts needed a little tweaking (labeling for "home", "cell" etc), it worked very well. Making calls from the CLP99483 using our cell lines worked very well, too - call quality is clear, though there is some degradation of sound quality, since you're essentially using the AT&T system as a big bluetooth headset; all in all, though, I found the call quality to be quite good. You do need to leave your cell within about 15-20 feet of the base unit, though, but you can answer your cell calls from any of the handsets. After looking at several manuals for the various Panasonic and AT&T models, it appears that this series is one of the few where both BT connected phones can be on a call at the same time. Many of the phones available will allow 2 or 4 cell devices to be paired, but only one can be used at a time, so this set would appear to be more flexible than most. A big plus for me is the styling of this AT&T system; it has a very modern-looking, attractive design that I like a lot. The competing Panasonic system has a ho-hum, stubby sort of look in white/silver that didn't appeal to me. The construction seems solid enough, though the handsets feel light. Another plus: separate buttons for the different lines: Home, Cell 1 and Cell 2 have their own light-up keys. The cons: no beltclips on the handsets, no headphone jacks on the handsets; though you can pair a BT headset, you can only pair it to the base, not the handsets, so your range is limited. (The AT&T system will accept a AT&T-brand DECT 6.0 headset - TL7800 - with a 500' range, however, which I have just ordered.) The screens are readable when lit, but they're rather plain-jane, non-high resolution, and the backlight only stays on for 10 secs; when it's off, the dark LCD screen can be hard to read in lower light. There is no call block feature (which the Panasonic does have), but I ordered a CPR Call Blocker with a 1200-number capacity that seems to be doing the job well; the Panasonic system has a Call Block feature, but it only holds 250 numbers. While the CLP99483 may not have as many bells and whistles as some of its competitors, namely the newest Panasonic, it accomplishes its basic tasks very well: call quality on both land and cell lines is very good. The styling and dual cell connectivity make it a flexible and convenient phone that bridges land line and cell capabilities in a very attractive package. My overall rating would actually be a 4.5 out of 5.

Just what we needed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, a good product. Nice that it even has a USB plug-in, although we don't really use it, or some of the other features. Don't really need the cellphone connection feature, among others.

Works well, have not tried bluetooth
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The home phone portion works well. The voice caller Id needs HELP but that's a small point. We have not tried the Bluetooth so can not comment. We are satisfied with the phones overall.

Great Phone system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best part of the system is that you can link your cell phone to the handset's. You can call from the handset via your cell phone and answer your cell on the handset.
