    Although it works well in the states my main purpose was to use it in Canada. Yes it does work as far as making calls and texts or receiving both. Only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because the 6gb worth of data didn't even work. I thought it was supposed to be automatic but turns out i had to do soemthing before arrived in Canada to make it work
