I bought this phone for a family member and it stop working after 2 months

Bought phone, took home, set up contacts (took hours) then discovered the phone wouldn't call out, Didn't work! Message I got said it was snag "at point of purchase" (Best Buy), so took back. Clerk couldn't get the problem solved, so gave refund on phone, but not on 'AT&T $35.00 phone card', sent me to AT&T. They too refused to return my money, so turned over the problem over to Credit card company.

I have had continual issues with this phone. It randomly won't dial out or the buttons suddenly don't work and now it hangs up on all outgoing calls. The volume is not very loud.

Not as easy to use as hoped for my 84 Year old Dad. Also, told the store employee what I was needing it to do and it doesn't seem to have that capability. Disappointed.

I bought this phone to replace one that I lost. I needed one in a hurry, so I ordered it on line and picked it up. The phone never worked and because I tore the packaging and the drama from the "COVID" issue, it could not be returned . I simply threw it in the trash and wasted my $39.99 plus tax...

Bought the same phone 4 months ago, stopped working. Best Buy said they couldn’t do anything for me. So I had to buy another one.

Phone quality is awful, calls can not hear clearly

Phone may be defective. Screen blacks out, but store closed due to COVUD-19. :-(

It would be easy to setup if the store gave you a new sim to put in the phone or a good number to use.

After two months this phone stopped working.it would freeze when I opened it to make a call,I would try to shut it off and it would not shut down.dont waste your money .i never wanted a touch screen phone,i always had a flip phone but now I have a touch phone

Was not what I wanted . It ate up money like it was going out of style . Constant data charges . All I wanted was a phone , none of the so called smat crap . Went back to old phone and returned it .

In 2018, I decided to ditch using a smartphone after over a decade using an iPhone. They have become too expensive, too distracting, and too intrusive, as they are used to gather very detailed information on us all. I tried several options, but finally narrowed it down to this device and the Light Phone II, which I also purchased. The light phone is more than 11 times more expensive, has far less features, and is not as reliable. This phone excels at phone calls, both placing and receiving. Call quality is very good. Texting would be better were it to offer a qwerty keyboard or a larger grid with, say, a 5X5 keypad with keys for each letter except combining X and Z. That said, Predictive texting has worked very well for me. The main drawback on texting is the lack of group texting. If everyone in the group uses WhatsApp, that solves the issue, but not everyone uses WhatsApp. Other than that, while it allows setting ringtones for individual Contacts, it does not appear to allow muting (including turning off vibration) for calls from numbers not in Contacts, which is very useful in avoiding distracting robocalls and other spam calls. Beyond that, I wish it had a few more apps, but those may come with updates. A podcast app would be nice, though I have managed to listen to podcasts through the web browser and then pinning the episode page on the app menu screen. Having apps such as Spotify, Audible, Libby, and LibriVox, to listen to streamed music and audio books would be great. Finally, better instructions would be helpful, though the full manual is available online, findable by searching for "Alcaltel Smartflip manual". If the phone had group texting available in its native Message app, I would give it five stars.

Mo mom can't work it and neither can I it looked like it would be simple to use, and it isn't I will be returning it.

The key is a salesperson who has been trained properly and can perform the right functions to make sure the item works!

It says to give the number on the SIM card but can't get it out of the phone to see the number. Need help setting it up
