Phone needed for my elderly mother. Only needs basic tasks and this phone fits the bill and didn't cost much money.

I purchased this for my mother as a replacement for an old trimline phone that was failing. She was looking for something similar to her old phone - this was the closest phone I could find. She says the sound is an improvement and working just fine.

This old fashioned cord phone is fine for emergencies, has caller ID and will work in case of a blackout

There’s some thing that people under 40 might not know. If there is a power outage, mass or just in your home, you do not need to pay for a telephone service in order to have 911, 311, 211 work. Just make sure that you own one of these old landline phones. Put it in a drawer somewhere and hopefully you will never need to use it but if there is an emergency you will have one available to you. Plug it into the wall abs reach emergency services. The plainer the better. Skip anything that has batteries or charging cords.

We are very happy with the phone. It works well all the time. The price was reasonable, too.
