    Great, simple home phone

Bought this model to replace a cheaper brand phone which had lots of static. The Trimline has been around forever and has excellent sound quality and very durable. Our home phone is primarily used for telemarketers to call and for my young daughter to use, so this is perfect.

Looking to get replacement corded phone for home usage, find a affordable price corded phone at BestBuy store. Installed 4 AA batteries as requirement, plug new cord phone to the wall. Work right away by day 1. Can't ask for more ! Great product at reasonable price for my grandmother!

    Basic Phone

The display is kind of messed up after more than 1 year of use but the basic phone functionality still works to make phone calls or receive calls. It needs batteries to power the display. The hook couldn't stay in place sometimes. It's a cheap phone anyway and I need a corded phone instead cordless.

every home with a landline needs a corded phone when there are power outages! this one's fine, but only 4 stars because I don't talk a lot on it since I can't walk too far as the cord is not long enough.

I bought this phone to use witm MagicJack Plus at my home. Works fine. The LCD display it's not so good: it's hard to read. Otherwise, works fine

This phone is a great deal for the money! Phone is super easy to use and see. Buttons are big and user-friendly. My only gripe is that the phone won't stay on the hook when mounted vertically.

    POTS

My former Plain Old Telephone System (POTS) wore out, so I needed a replacement to use when electricity is out. This product is that excellent replacement. It is not fancy, but will still work when there is no other power. Obviously it also works when there is power.

This is the dumbest thing under the sun!!

Most of us, if not all of us who have used a Trimline/slimline type phone, or for that matter any phone where the dialing buttons are on the handset, are used to having an audible tone as we push the number buttons during the act of dialing. This way we know that the phone has registered the button push. Unfortunately, AT&T has decided to buck the convention and set the key press volume so low that the only way to hear it is to have the handset next to your ear. This leads to a different problem – one cannot see which buttons are being pushed. I called AT&T's tech support to see if there was a way to increase the key press volume and the answer I got was "This phone does not have that option". This is the dumbest thing under the sun!!

Not wall mountable as designed and stated

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I purchased this corded phone to replace another corded phone because they are the only ones that work when the power goes out. Specs stated wall mountable and it comes with a bracket that reverses to make it wall mountable. There is only one way to install the bracket and I followed the directions, however when mounted the handset will not stay in the cradle and falls off. This cradle is defectively designed for wall mounting. Can't rate on any other features as it failed to deliver on this one. I'm returning it. I tried contacting AT&T support, but they did not respond.

    Abysmal design

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

See that button on the back of the handset, that button that you're really likely to press by accident in any number of ways and thereby end your call? Who designed this? That's where your palm goes when you talk, and guess what? It's inconveniently placed, to say the least. Also, the buttons are not labeled intuitively on both the front and the back. I regret this purchase.
