Note that the description says it is 36" which means it is 3 feet tall. So any of the negative reviews complaining that this is too small didn't read the description.

I am using it for dvds and blue-rays, and I have to extra shelves, maybe they are for cds. Lastly, it’s a little shorter than expected, not really a statement piece of furniture.
