    4K version is awesome!

Really enjoyed the movie, especially the 4K version. Colors were more vibrant and had more depth and dimension to it, sort of a 3D effect, compared to the BlueRay version. James McAvoy, one of my new favorite actors, was a dead ringer for his character. Check out the movie "Split", where he plays a man who has 23 separate personalities.

Blondes Don’t Always Have More Fun

Charlize Theron is a take no prisoner’s action heroine in Atomic Blonde, based on the Oni Press graphic novel series The Coldest City. Set during the Cold War, to a killer New Wave soundtrack, Theron plays Lorraine Broughton, a tough as nails undercover MI6 agent, sent to Berlin to find out why her fellow agents are being murdered. Directed by David Leitch, who previously helmed the first John Wick, Atomic Blonde gives Theron a chance to display the action heroine vibe we first saw from her in Mad Max: Fury Road. Theron is up to the task and does well as the lead. However, the script by Kurt Johnstad doesn’t do much regarding the narrative. Johnstad, who previously wrote the 2012 Navy Seal drama, Act of Valor and the 300 films, doesn’t do as well as adapting this medium to the screen. Whenever there wasn’t any action going on in the movie, it tends to drag. Maybe if they trimmed a good thirty minutes from its run time, I might have enjoyed the film a bit more. Given his previous success with a graphic novel adaption (300), I expected a bit more with this story. In any genre, a weak narrative can make or break a film, no matter how talented your cast is. The usually reliable James McAvoy in the role of David Percival, Broughton’s contact who may know more than he leads on has a throwaway role. McAvoy gives off the vibe that he made this movie strictly for a paycheck. Sofia Boutella, who was great in the summer’s “The Mummy” isn’t given much to do, other than eye candy and a love interest for Broughton. The supporting cast does what they can though as, Bill Skarsgard does some impressive work, while John Goodman & Toby Jones both provide their usual character actor work as Lorraine’s handlers. Atomic Blonde isn’t a total waste though, as the film does deliver on the action front. Unlike her role as the big bad in this past spring’s eighth entry in the Fast & Furious franchise, Theron kicks all kind of butt in Atomic Blonde. Leitch still knows how to get the best of his actors when it comes to the choreography of a fight scene or action sequence. One particular fight scene in the film’s third act, where Theron takes on two henchmen, is an endless barge of kicks and punches that had me smiling ear to ear the entire time. Not only is that fight scene one of the best action sequences of 2017, but it will also be worth the price of admission alone for action junkies. Despite having impressive action sequences and SURPRISING plot twists, Atomic Blonde was a letdown. Theron, while good in the lead role, deserves better, and director Leitch is capable of better. With a shorter running time and a stronger script, Atomic Blonde could have become an action classic; instead, the film will likely be forgotten by the masses in a few months.

This movie allows the viewer to see what a woman can do in a Bond-like role. The fight scenes are really good and Charlize Theron does most of her own stunt work. There is an amazing 13 minute one continuous shot fight scene that Theron does her own work in. Worth the whole movie, plus the end has a good twist.

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this movie. If I remember the critics were kind of divided. But I am glad I got to watch it by myself. Charlize Theron is a beautiful woman, and she can seriously kick some butt. I did see where critics may have been split on the plot. But, this movie was just pure adreneline fun for me.

Charlize Theron stars as Lorraine Broughton, an elite MI6 agent tasked with finding a list of double agents. The movie is set against the backdrop of the fall of the Berlin Wall back in the late 80's. While the plot seems a little weak, the action sequences are great, as Broughton dishes out as much punishment as she receives.

Ever since Angelina Jolie took a back seat on action films after SALT there really hadn't been any action movies starring women. Well, here steps in Charlize Theron and she definitely ups the ante! Very well done. I enjoyed her in Mad Max: Fury Road better but this one is definitely up there in terms of quality.

Spy movies are great, and so are films set in the 80s, and this film is both. Charlize Theron is terrific as a British agent sent to sort out a mess in Berlin shortly before the Wall came down. Fantastic fight scenes and a great 80s pop soundtrack dive the movie. Not quite as good as John Wick, but Theron gives the role her all.

The Ultra 4k movies are awesome, providing you have the complete Ultra 4k setup, with the additional dolby atmos speakers also , which all this enriches the depth of every sound effect within the Atomic Blonde movie I purchased in 4k Ultra HD

Wow! What an action packed kick-butt movie! Charlize Theron is absolutely believeable and perfect in this role. I hope this is made into a multiple movie series. Probably some of the most realistic action and fight scenes I have ever seen. Having it on 4K makes it even more gritty and realistic as if you were right there.

This movie is fantastic, and looks absolutely beautiful in 4K. It's a female John Wick. The action set pieces are amazing, especially the fight in the hotel, which is a single camera shot. Definitely worth getting if you're an action fan or Charlize fan.

A rollicking good time! We were but expecting this to be as good as it was. Genuinely contains one of the most impressively-shot fight sequences I've ever seen on film. That scene alone is worth the price of entry.

This is a perfect winter movie; if you're ever in the mood for a cold war 80's oriented spy flick this is the one and only option. Charlize Theron is the real deal in terms of strong female action leads and the soundtrack is to die for.

Quality control and shipping on this one was awful. It took me 4+ returns over several restocks to finally get one that wasn't scratched up or dented. It looks so much better in hand though and is a good film. Worth the hassle.

I really liked this film. It has twists and turns and Charlize is great. The action is satisfying and the storyline is good (don't get up for a drink without pausing the movie; you may miss something!). This movie requires your full attention as you could get lost if you don't follow it. Overall, it's worth the watch!

The film is packed with plenty of action and intrigue. Gun play, martial arts, and car chases abound. Some serious spy techniques are an excellent touch. The bonus features are great, insightful, and well done.

Atomic Blonde on Blu Ray is a more stylized version of the John Wick franchise with a female lead in Charlize Theron. She does a fantastic job with the fighting scenes. The fight choreography is fantastic and tailored towards the way a highly skilled female would realistically respond. The plot has some twists.
