Rated highly but can be overrated if you try coming in expecting too much, there are plenty of expensive scenes and the cast is your typical hero who should never even be a main character

Classic story model , where lead character has an issue from their past that explains their drive in the present. Did not expect the plot twist so early in the series.

Starts off extremly slow with alot of uneeded backstory and set up. Once it gets going around episode 4 pretty solid

Not a fan, but the kids like the show. Glad it was in stock to purchase when we came to return something else.

I really have no complaints, except that I wish this came in a boxed set.

I will lead with this: I HAVE NEVER BEEN A BIG ANIME FAN. However, many of my friends are and were recommending this series to me repeatedly. Finally, I gave it a try on Netflix, and after 2 episodes, I went out and bough both Part 1 and Part 2. The story is nicely paced, not a lot of filler. instead, you get a wealth of information on the characters' backstories and a look at their world. When it came down to the main storyline, it was easy to follow, had many surprises and kept my interest from start to finish. The Bluray-DVD combo is nice in that is has both the english and Japaese versions, which are slightly different in terms of dialogue, and I liked both equally. the fight scenes were very dynamic in their filming, and it was a truly enjoyable purchase.

I didn't read the manga, but this show is raved by thousands. The bluray set is amazing, but doesn't offer anything really unique. Of course, it has all the episodes, but they never really took the time to use subtitles or texts on the midsections, which explain things involving that universe. Things like how the belts work or how each wall section lives. Only way to see the translation is by going to the special features, outside the actual episodes. Slightly annoying.

Bought as a gift for Christmas they have been looking for this item for a long time

Animation quality is top notch as well as sound perfectly displayed through the power of blu-ray.

My nephew has got into japanese anime and he got this and loves it, he talks about it all the time, glad he likes it
