Great so far sounds okay but will need some external speakers

As vinyl becomes more and more popular again, it appears that turntables continue to be pushed out by a variety of makers. However, Audio Technica continues to put out superior products and with this turntable they fill that entry level marketplace perfectly! First, right out of the box you get that premium look and feel with this turntable. The build quality is not only for aesthetic reasons as the three piece construction and aluminum platter also aid in the sound quality as it dampens resonance. This three piece construction also makes setup extremely easy at the same time as you are essentially just placing the platter on the turntable and the drive belt is simply attached with a ribbon. It is an extremely simple process to which then you just plug the power in and pop the dust cover on and you are ready to go. The usability and performance is where this turntable really sets itself apart as it could not be any easier to use! For those new to turntables they have included the Bluetooth feature here where you can pair it to any speaker as you would your phone. However, they have also included the preamp built in so that if you do wish to use external speakers using the included RCA cables that is an option here as well. From a performance aspect, where this turntable sets itself apart is the phono cartridge. The audio quality here is superb and the included stylus is great when it comes to channel separation and low distortion. Also the ability to change out the stylus is a great feature here to customize your listening experience if you wish to jump further into the vinyl space. Overall, there is nothing further you could ask for when it comes to an entry level turntable to help you get your foot in the door when it comes to vinyl. The ease of use stands out tremendously here where it does not sacrifice sound quality and performance. Then the ability to upgrade the stylus provides the ability to venture into the vinyl space further without needing to upgrade your turntable. For that reason I would highly recommend this turntable to those looking to jump into the space or even if they are upgrading from their initial entry level turntable.

Poor quality. Arrived with a non functioning start/stop button. Unit does not come with a power switch, it is always on, and you can start or stop the turn table.

Spend some time with us audio technical turntable, and I will say I’m a big fan of their audio stuff. This turntable really is a nice all-around turntable because you have the ability to upgrade as well as it has some nice beginner features to make it easy to start listening to vinyls. And once you do it, it’ll be like an addiction and you won’t be able to stop. I enjoy the features that it has. It is very easy to set up and get going. The turntable even has a play button that will automatically start the record for you. To be honest I am very used to just picking it up and using a hinge to drop the record so the play button was a little new for me. It makes it very easy to get up and go. I really do like the Bluetooth function because it allows a lot of flexibility with placement. I have had issues where I get too close to my speakers and it will vibrate so being able to just use Bluetooth is pretty nice. Yes I know Bluetooth is not as high fidelity, but it is a very nice feature to have. Also it is built very minimalistic, compared to the old versions. Definitely has a nice sleek look and feel to it. I do like that you can upgrade the stylus still. And you are able to play different sizes as well. Overall, this is a very good beginner turntable with a simple look and full of features.

-Great entry turntable. I knew nothing about turntables and was able to set it up with 5 minutes from a YouTube video. Instructions are included but I wanted a visual guide. -Love the automatic start and stop function. It makes actually playing a vinyl less of a hassle. -The build quality is fine. It's mostly plastic but doesn't feel cheap at all. -The Bluetooth connectivity is fine for the most part. The sound quality sounds exactly like if I played songs from my iPhone. My weird issue with the wireless is I noticed if I stick my head with air pods close to the turntable to change the song, the connection becomes unreliable and disconnects. Sitting more than two feet away avoids this issue. I'm not sure if every BT turntable does this but it's worth noting. -Using a nice pair of wired headphones was pretty easy too and sounded even better than the air pods obviously. -Honestly, my biggest issue with the 70X is that it lacks an off button. I have to unplug the power brick to turn it off. Since that's the biggest problem, I can definitely recommend this to someone is either starting out in vinyl or someone who doesn't want to spend $400+ for something decent.

The Bluetooth is the main reason for my 1 star review. It was easy to use, but feels extremely cheap made. I sat it up and paired it with my home theater receiver with no issues. Put on an album and started to play it. The Bluetooth connection would just drop on and off during play. Not the player skipping as some people have said, but just playing the song and then random bits of silence. It would only be a second or two max, but still it kept cutting out like that throughout every song. I tested my receiver with my phone and iPad and the music streamed via Bluetooth flawlessly so it wasn't a case with the receiver. After attempting to listen to side 1 of one album and it doing that constantly I boxed it up and returned it.

this product has been an absolute delight to use, making it the perfect entry point for my journey into the world of vinyl. Right out of the box, the setup was straightforward, and I was spinning my favorite records within minutes. The ability to play both 33-1/3 and 45 RPM records adds versatility, and the built-in switchable phono preamp is a fantastic feature, allowing me to connect it directly to my powered speakers without any extra components. The sound quality is where this turntable truly shines. The AT-VM95C phono cartridge, with its 0.6 mil conical stylus, delivers a warm, rich sound that feels true to the original recordings. I was particularly impressed with the low distortion and excellent channel separation, which brought out details in my music that I hadn’t noticed before. The option to upgrade the stylus to different models in the VM95 Series is a great touch for future customization. The design is sleek and modern, and the anti-resonance chassis effectively dampens any unwanted noise, providing a solid listening experience. I also appreciate the thoughtful inclusion of a detachable RCA cable, a 45 RPM adapter, and a removable dust cover. In short, the AT-LP70X offers everything I could want in a beginner turntable, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Five stars!

Purchased turntable and set it up. Every record I played skipped. I returned the product and exchanged for the same model. Got iy home and when I put the first record on, sound was garbled. Tried another record and the needle fell out of the stylus. I returned the product and purchased. a Sony turntable....haappy now.

The start button had to be pushed several times to work after 3 days of use.

I wouldnt recomend buying this it keeps skipping and repeating during songs. Its not the record its the player. I would return it but the window closed.

Audio Technica has done a fantastic job with this new LP70X turntable. The table comes in 2 versions. The LP70X series is their belt drive fully automatic table which in also available in a Bluetooth version the LP70XBT. I received the Bluetooth version, and it is great for connecting to my powered Bluetooth speakers as well as my portable speakers and headphones. It is available in 3 colors consisting of black/silver, black/bronze and white/silver. I received the black/silver version, and it is stunning. The table is simple to set up. The LP70 comes preassembled with an Audio Technica VM95C cartridge which is significant as you can upgrade the stylus with any of the ATVM95 series styluses. This is a major upgrade over the LP60 table which can only have the AT3600L stylus replaced but not upgraded. The LP70 now comes with a J shaped tone arm with a fixed stylus. There is no counterbalance or anti skate as these are preset at the factory. Unlike the LP60 the controls for start, stop and speed selection (45/78) are on top of the table under the dust cover instead of on the front of the table. Switching between 7” and 12” records is via a switch at the back of the table. Audio Technica added a tone arm lift like more conventional tables as well as a tone arm lock when the tone arm is at rest. Both the LP70X and LP70XBT have a built-in preamp that is switchable. The table can be used with a receiver with a built-in preamp, or you can use the tables built in preamp if connecting to a receiver or powered speakers that do not have a preamp built in. The table has RCA jacks with a grounding lug as opposed to a 3.5mm connection like the LP60. The table comes with grounded RCA cables as well. At a little under 7lbs this is not a very heavy table, but Audio Technica has designed the suspension to absorb vibration, and it does a great job. I have a couple of other tables, one of which weighs in at 36lbs and I was surprised at how well the AT dampened vibrations. I connected the Bluetooth table to various speakers including powered speakers, portable Bluetooth speakers, headphones and my Dolby Atmos soundbar and everything worked flawlessly. I also connected the table to my powered speakers using the tables built in preamp and it also worked perfect. I actually didn’t notice a big difference between using the built-in preamp versus the Bluetooth and considering how many options Bluetooth gives me I’ll probably end up using this option more than the built-in preamp. Speed issues seem to be an issue with some of the lower tier tables, but I found the LP70 to be spot on speed wise. There are adjustments on the bottom of the table to adjust speed for both 33 and 45 if necessary. So how does it sound. I had an unopened Super Disk copy of Carly Simons Boys in the Trees from 1978 that I bought brand new back in 1978, and it sounds amazing on this table. When connected to speakers and headphones costing significantly more than this table it is just an outstanding experience. I also connected to powered speakers costing around the same price as this table and they sound great too. At $249.00 this has got to be one of the best value entry level turntables out there and a great way to get started in the hobby. Even for someone who has been in the hobby for a long time the convenience and sound quality of this table is amazing considering the cost. This is a really impressive table in both appearance and performance, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get started listening to vinyl. Audio Technica continues their legacy of providing great products and listening experience.
