It works great without the use of a receiver, my only issue is that material wise it seems a bit on the cheap side. I'm not sure how it will hold up over time because it seems to mostly be made of not the most heavy duty plastic and the buttons feel flimsy. But again, it does what it says, the only other equipment you need is a bluetooth speaker and it only costs a little over a $100 so I can't really complain.

I did get to hear and it plays extremely well, and it attached to his Bluetooth headphones. We stayed in his room listening to music.

I'm willing to cut down on build quality if it means the price is cheaper.
