It's a toy lacking basic adjustments

I'm looking to step up to a modern good-enough turntable: This turntable does NOT have some of the basic functions needed: An adjustable counter balance for the arm, anti-skate adjustment for the needle tracking. This thing is a toy. It couldn't read one of my old records, and that is when I realized it has no counter weight to adjust. I do not recommend this unless your 12 year old really really wants one. Then if they really dig it, they can upgrade to a Bit Kid unit.

I had this turntable for around two weeks and everything seemed fine. Then, the speed became too fast and voices sounded like chipmunks. Returned this and went with the same brand in a direct drive turntable. That one didn't work out, either. Ended up returning both of them and finally bought a Pioneer 500 DJ PLX turntable which has worked very well for me.

    Auto-play feature does not work.

The auto play does not work. When I push the start button, the tone arm lifts, the turntable spins, then I hear a noise, the tone arm goes back down to its cradle and then the turntable shuts down. I'm still trying to get tech support/help to fix this issue.

Bought this for the functions and because of the ratinga. But this thing feels as flimsy as a toy. Set it up and the turntable makes ridiculous grinding noise. Unreal how everything is made like crap these days.

My dad has an audio technica stereo turntable. Best Buy only had 2 models in stock instore. I took this one home hoping it would replicate the sound of my dad's. It did not. My dad paid for a premium model and I will need to do the same. From the unboxing to the building to the playing, this felt like a budget item. I returned this and ended up spending a little more money for higher quality. My records deserve better.

This Turntable is both Classic & Modern

I got this turntable as a Christmas gift for my fiance, and it works wonderfully--the sound quality is great, the instructions are very straightforward, and it's a pretty sturdy, compact turntable (as opposed to being fragile) in that I've had to transport it/carry it a couple times while moving. I like that it has an automatic needle and it's a pretty simple design for functionality and ease of use (this is our first turntable, so I'm still learning the ropes). I've only played a couple vinyls on it so far, but it's still a magical moment for me every time the needle hits the record--I doubt I'll ever tire of that. If I had to list any gripes, I have two very minor ones: One, I still haven't been able to get it to connect to my Airpods through Bluetooth. I may be doing something wrong, but it just isn't "finding" the connection, so they don't link up. I certainly don't mind listening to it over the stereo, the sound is beautiful, but I read that this is an upgraded model designed specifically for Bluetooth, and it hasn't worked yet. I'll keep trying with other devices--maybe it is just hard the first time? My second very minor gripe is that though it has been advertised in coming in red, but I didn't see any in stock at the two Best Buys I went to, and it was sold out online. I certainly understand that it'd be more popular, but I guess I was hoping that that would mean there would be a higher supply. Still, the black is very sleek and cool, so I have no real problem with it--like I said, my gripes were minor. Overall, definitely a great piece of technology--I love having music in the house without worrying about ads, battery power, the next track, etc. I love it.

Make sure you find a way to keep arm lock in place to avoid damaging the needle when you are trying to put the turntable away

    Disappointed in Audio-Technica

Just bought this and tried to connect to Sonos Move and Arc sound bar. Could not even see the Bluetooth connection on my iPhone. Tried going back through limited content provided with turntable, then same cycle with Sonos. Called in Geek Squad who ended up with the same issue. The experts even went Audio-Technica’s website to factory reset the turntable. No luck there either! Blue tooth on this turntable simply did not work. Am returning it for another brand. The Geek Squad has helped me set up my entire house and boathouse! This is it their fault! All of the reviews had this turntable as extremely positive.

Purchased this as a starter turntable gift for my son's birthday, as he's a huge music fan and has fallen for vinyl. Only a few months later, it won't ever stop spinning...have tried to troubleshoot online - apparently this is a common & known issue. Would not recommend purchasing this turntable.
