If you're looking at these you probably already have a good idea of how well they perform. Just want to add my opinion to assure anyone thinking about these that they are great for the money. I would go so far as to say that they're about as good as you'll get for closed back, over ear headphones under $300. Great sound for the money!

I did extensive research to find the best corded, non active noise cancelling headphones out there trying to keep budget in mind. THESE ARE IT. I've had them a few weeks now and really enjoy them. Great sound quality with the perfect amount of bass. While they don't have active noise cancelling, they block outside noise very well. Love all the cord options and bag it came with. Highly recommend.

Bought me a pair ahkut three or four years ago for gaming. They are extremely comfortable to wear for long (8+hour) sessions as well as they are extremely adjustable for comfort. I did however have one of my ears’ locking mechanisms fail at year 3, and had to buy a 5 cent part to fix it. Overall, my first pair lasted 6000+ hours of use without error.

Great headphones, bought these as a gift for my brother, he loved them might get a pair aswell.

These and the last generation the M50s are the best value headphones on the market.

I purchased ATH-M50x about a year ago and have since purchased the headphones Bluetooth attachment (added cost) to stream music from my laptop and cell phone. The ATH-M50x has outstanding clarity and sound-stage. The unit also comes with three detachable cables.

I had in the past many over the ears headphones of different brands and prices. None of them had an excellent or even a good sound. I do a lot of recording and needed a really good headphones and bought this Audio-Technica headphones and I was blown away by the sound reproduction and ambient noice isolation, excellent low, mid and hight frequencies. I use them all the time to monitor my recordings and they always perform great. I even bought another pair to take them along when traveling. I love them and highly recommend them.

Bought these to replace a gaming headset because I wanted something I could also listen to music with,and I no longer needed a built in mic. My current headset is a HyperX cloud II pro. The reviews for sound quality are definitely correct, listening to games is DRASTICALLY different as I can now hear all the mids that my current headset "erased". Music, however, was essentially unchanged. The problem is I would have expected the design to be better. The entire body is plastic, while my hyperx has at least a metal construction. The cushioning is also pretty bad, they're probably one of the most uncomfortable headsets I've ever worn. The arch is also really stiff, I'm guessing to help with noise cancellation, but since there's almost no padding on the ears it makes them hurt and gives me a headache. I'm going to try and see if this gets better with use, but right now they're going back.

Sound is ok, but not nearly loud enough for the price. If you plan on cranking up and rocking out, these are not the ones. At the loudest setting, I can still hear my wife nagging. I mean talking.
