This one got a lot of great reviews so I decided to buy. Set up is easy but the arm is really, really sensitive. The slightest movement will cause it to skip, despite adjustment.

Since it is hardwired to the unit, it was unusable. Unfortunate because it was beautiful and substantial and would have been perfect for my receiver. Back to the store it went.

Posted .Sound on one side only or distorted sound on one side is typically caused by one of two things. The most common cause is the tracking force is too heavy as a result of the tonearm not being calibrated correctly by the user when assembling the turntable. The second, and less frequent cause, is one of the pins in the tonearm socket which have to make good contact with the corresponding pin on the rear of the headshell is hung up in the socket. The pins are spring-loaded, so this is easily remedied by pushing the offending pin in slightly until it pops back out to the correct position. Use a small non-metallic object such as a wooden chopstick or a cotton swab to do this. The RCA cables rarely fail.
