    When I bought a new smart t.v. I found that due to an older tuner, I had to be wired in such a manner that audio was separate from the HDMI, so audio and video were not in sync. Especially, when watching something on-line with the new smart t.v. This solved the problem by providing a return from the t.v. to the tuner. Next, a new tuner so everything goes HDMI through it.

    I had originally set up my system with an HDMI cable run between my receiver and satellite box, ultimately connecting my TV to the receiver via HDMI. Multiple problems arose, primarily due to communication speed between the equipment, robbing both the TV and audio of performance. This cable, plug and play from TV to receiver, solved the problem completely.
