Ran one scan which cleared several problem on my computer.

It is very good for both of my husbands and mine computor.

Purchased this software to help manage and clean several laptops. Bought the multi computer version, and right off it was changing preset options and deleting files I didn't want deleted. After about two weeks, the software caused two computers (of the five it was on) to fail to operate - had to go into 'safe mode' to remove the software and do a system restore to get the two laptops back to where they would work again. The software has been off all of my computers for about two weeks and I am still working to restore some of the things it damaged software wise. Do not buy this!!!! (used on Windows 7 ... maybe the software is not compatiable, I don't know.)

Easy to install and run however after running the program I had to go back and reset everything using windows restore. Would not recommend this program to others for as far as I am concerned this is a complete waste of money.

Bought this utility because was in special and wanted to see how it performed compared to System Mechanic. I uninstall system mechanic. During installation asked to install their own version of .NET 4.0 and even if I alredy had installed still wanted to install from disk. Took long time for this (3hrs) once installed and rebooted all desktop icons disapered, nothing will show up if exploring c: or openning control panel. Tried under another user account with the same problem. No program files show up nothing. Rebooted with same problem. Unistalled under safe mode and re-installed with the same results. e-mail Avanquest technical support 3 times and waited and no response. Had System Mechanic and worked fine but once subscription is due the software become useless and is very intrusive in your computer.

I bought fix it utillities for my mothers lap top. I wanted to just clean things up for her. She had no real issue's till I down loaded fix it 12. It down loaded ok and I ran all the scans. Then a update popped up for the fix it software. I started down loading the update and it froze up. I had to reboot the computer. When the computer booted back up all files and software were gone. Everything! I found a phone number and while I was waiting to talk to someone. I started doing some reseach on another computer. Right on there website there were several people with the same problem. Some had to re install everything on there computer. After waiting a half hour I talked to a tech. He told me he had heard of the problem but I had to talk to a level two tech support. I waited longer. When I finally talked to the tech he was helpfull. He had me delete the software then reboot. Everything was back. He sent me two emails to remove any fragments of other virus protection from the computer as well as there own software. He said good bye and I was happy. I re installed fix it utillities 12 and then that same update came up again. I clicked on it and it froze up again. I rebooted and same thing everything gone. I removed the software and still had issue's this time. It took six hours total from first install to removing it and getting it back to normal. I am going to best buy tomorrow hopefully they will return it. I know there policy says they won't but read another review on another site that said another customer did the same and best buy allowed it. If not I will send back to the fix it software company. Many people liked previous versions of the fix it, but the new fix it 12 is horrible. Don't buy this for sure. Best buy should pull it off there shelves.

found it to be user friendly and easy to install. I'm not very computer savy as far a programing, etc goes and I was able to stick the disc in, follow the prompts and run the software without any issues. I liked the anti-virus and spyware protection and thought it was easy to use as some I have had are not! From what I could tell it did not take up a lot of space on my computer, which is great as I am always needing space due to the ginormous amount of photos and videos I have. It seems the program did take a bit to run the first few times, which is expected as it had a lot to clean up, and now runs fairly quick and my pc seems to run faster as well. Overall I found the software very useful to clean up the pc (for those of us that don't know how to do that on our own!!# and will keep you system in top shape and running as efficient as possible!! I thought it would be a good thing to get to clean up my pc for moving my files as I just purchased a new pc. Installed the software and ran it. It said it found several thousand errors. Ran the fix and reran the scan. It found several hundred errors the second time. I ran it until there were no errors found ( apx 8 times). Then when no errors were found nothing worked. I couldn't open any files or run any programs. I couldn't even view pictures. The only thing that worked was system restore. So I ran system restore and removed it. WILL NOT use this product again and I recommend that you don't either!!!!

I believe that this program does what it says that it is going to do, but I have been experiencing random shutdowns since I installed it after I reset my computer back to day 0. I don't know if this is because of the program or not, but it never did it before.

I use this on my desktop with Windows XP which works fine, however, when I try to use it on my laptop it crashes everytime. There seems to be a problem using it with Windows 7 since I don't have any problem using it with XP. I wish it would include fixing DLL files.

Installation was simple. The instruction manual is too long. Tthis deletion stuff did not occur yet. But reading it, scares me. While it is running it keeps warning about software using too much of CPU. It shuts down my McAffee, since it is, of course, running always. So after start up, I disable FIX-IT. Used it for optimizing and de-fragmanting with good results. I would like to stop it from starting each time (How do I do it ?) and just use it manually. I may just remove it unless I get some message from Advantec.

I have had a chance to use the FixIt software. I'm glad I did because it warned me of a pending disk failure and suggested I back up my files and replace the drive. First I thought it was a glitch. So I ran the program to clean up the disk. After cleaning the disk. I used the computer for about 30 minutes and the disk failure warning popped up again. So I backed up my files and decided to replace the drive. If I hadn't installed FixIt, I may have lost all my files. Coupled with all its other great features, this product is unbeatable. It worked on Window Vista Utlimate. It was not compatible with Window 7. It shut Window 7 down and I had to remove it to get Window 7 to work again.

No additional comment... waste of money purchased after receiving limited (if no) consultation or recommendations from Best Buy staff. Without contracting with Geek Squad nobody was willing to help and as a result I feel a bit cheated.

Fix-It Utilities 12 packs a huge amount of diagnostic power into simply designed user interface. The software was installed on a laptop running Windows 7. The install process itself went rather smoothly. Once installed and updated the program found and fixed many registry errors, cleaned up my drive and caught a few hardware issues as well. The software wizards guide you through all of the tasks, so it’s a good valuefor both advanced and novice computer users. The only issue is an occasional notification from Windows that the program needs a response. Besides that it’s hard to find this level of functionality at this price level.

I really like using Fix-It Utilities 12. My computer seemed to take forever to load up. Whenever I had multiple programs open it would freeze and I would have to restart my computer. I was able to run the one-click fix tool and my had a noticeably faster start-up and overall performance. The reports give me easy-to-understand information on how my computer is working. I definitely would recommend it!

Fix-It Utilities Professional- I used Fix-It Utilities on my laptop which has been doing dumps the last month or so which is annoying when I am in the middle of something and lose this information. Installation didn't take long which was a pleasant surprise. I ran the System Optimization straight away. The Analyzer ran for 5 minutes and found 6 problems including 921 outdated temporary or broken files. I then allowed the program to Fix my PC health and security which took 11 minutes to run. Since installing Fix-It Utilities I have not had my computer do a memory dump or shutdown on me. Fix-It Utilities also let me know that my virus protection was out of date. What I really like about the Fix-It Utilities program is the shredder aspect. I download items that are copyright sensitive and the ability to remove these items completely from my computer is important to both me, the author, and the publisher who are allowing me a short term loan of these digital files. I wish I had read these reviews before I bought it. I had the same problem as everyone else. Right after installing it (within an hour), everything on my computer was gone. I was able to start up in safe mode and restore it to right before I installed it. Not realizing what happened, I installed it again. Same thing happened again, except it corrupted the recovery function. I then had to take it in to get the hard drive wiped and restored to its original condition. What's great about it: NothingWhat's not so great: EverythingNo, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Did not work at all. Deleted necessary programs from computer. Returning product for refund.

Not as good as Tune-Up Utilities. Thought it would be better.
