while animation n computerized ghraphics have become fairly commonplace,their not always done in such a perfect way that this movie delivers.standard good vs evil theme,but u can help but empathize with the charachters,a love story as well.this movie is symbolic of wats wrong in our own country,n planet,greed.

This was the first time since the movie was released I purchased a 3D tv and played this blu-ray. The picture is awesome for home quality! I really like how the movie feels much more real. This was shot with Panasonic 3D cameras so you know it's not converted. You're seeing original content intended to watched in 3D!

This is a beautifully made masterpiece. The epitome of a 3D movie. MR. Cameron opened the world of a refined 3D movie to movie enthusiasts. A beacon in his on right. This movie is a breathtaking realism experience. From the plot, the old world concepts, and the imagery, all defined the quality of it success.

I just purchased my new 3D/4K Samsung TV after Christmas and had to select a great 3D movie to watch on it. Avatar BluRay 3D did not disappoint. I felt like I was there. I didn't see it in the theater in 3D because I usually don't like 3D movies but being on my couch and only 8 feet from the picture was truly amazing.

I was going home for the day when I decided I really wanted to see Avatar! I tried Walmart and after waiting a half hour they didn't even have a simple DVD version! I ran to Best Buy and I found it right away! The best part is I got this special box set for the same price as the typical DVD at Walmart! I'm very happy with my purchase!

I have been obsessed with avatar for awhile now and thought why don’t I own this movie yet so. I was screw it I want it and then I bought it XD

Many folks who I've discussed Avatar with agree that it was the best film of the year but in irony a film about the endless war we're in got the Oscar. Perhaps the message is too big for us All to embrace in order to REALLY affect change into the future. I am thrilled to be able to share this crystal clear recording to others now!

Just got my new TV set up and I love it. It has great picture and sound and its very cool the way you can speak channel commands and the tv will tune to that station. Buying from Best Buy was great. I purchased online and picked it up at the store a few hours later. Could not of been more convenient.

Avatar 3D at home is AWESOME! This was the 1ST 3D movie we purchased to view on our curved screen OLED and we we captivated. We found ourselves ducking in the Garden of the Spirits to avoid bumping into the hanging dendrites. We have watched it several times since and are always very entertained.

This is one of my favorite movies. Although I was disappointed that the 3D version was not the extended version, the 3D effect makes up for the missing scenes easily. I think this is one of the most impressive achievements in film-making I have ever seen. The CGI is close to flawless. A must-have for every collection.

Over the years that Avatar came out which was around 2009 I believe i've always wanted to see it in Blu-Ray. I recently (2016) got a Blu-Ray DVD Player and found this movie!! AMAZING PICTURE!!! Highly recommend watching this movie in Blu-Ray if you haven't. Would love if they put it in the 4K Ultra HD.

I believe this was the first movie filmed in 3d, and it definitely shows that this movie was meant to be seen in 3d. It's a great movie to begin with, and watching it in 3d just adds to the experience and the enjoyment. If you own a 3d TV and Blu Ray player, I highly recommend this movie, and if you don't, I recommend it anyway.

After purchasing a new TV with 3D functionality, I wanted to view a movie in 3D. I read a few reviews on the best 3D movies and Avatar was usually ranked #1and I agree 100%. This is probably the best movie ever made in 3D. Visually stunning. the picture was unreal or more accurately put too real! A must have for those who enjoy 3D!

I watched Avatar a year ago !!! I was soon seeking out the Extended Edition !! Waiting for the price to drop !!! It finally did so I purchased it on Blu-ray !!! There are three versions of Avatar on one Blu-ray Disc !!! The bonus material occupies another disc !!! Well Worth the price I paid !!!

This movie in my opinion led the rebirth of 3D in the cinema. Well directed, beautiful landscapes, colors mind bending at times. It's a spectacular vision of a much more "human" culture in symbiotic harmony with their entire planet, so much for the humans trying to ruin it. Enjoy it for what it is........a wonderful escape!

I’ve loved Avatar sine the first time i saw it I have iwned it in dvd Now Ive upgraded to blu ray so so glad i did with 4k set its a deautiful powerful display of color. Love It Love It.

We had a movie night in 3D. Both kids watched from start to finish - without a popcorn break! Great movie, fantastic colors. The CGI must have months to create. Story line is future fantasy. Well written, great scripts and actors. We viewed on a 55 inch Samsung 3D tv with a Denon Amp and Klipish speakers. AWESOME!

Awesome, the color is super. Have been waiting for 3D release. Love the story - romance, war, family unity all rolled into one. And the magic of the tree and spirits is so powerful.

Big box set for James Cameron's film Avatar! Loved the movie and this box set is huge, including 3 discs, 4 different versions of the film (theatrical, extended, alternate beginning, and a special "family" version with no offensive language) hours of bonus features, and all packed in a book type box. Very awesome!

I own the standard and now special addition blue ray. I have not explored the special features as yet, so i can't rate them. The special addition video looked better, more vibrant than the original. I could not say if the sound quality was better or worse. I would highly recommend this version over a standard copy.
