I last saw this movie on the day it came out in December 2009 on the iMAX in 3D. While this isn’t the 3D bluray the picture is simply breathtaking. Plus this version has three versions of the movie. Original plus two additional extended versions.

I've seen this movie several times, but in 3D it is really awesome. On my big screen tv, lights off, sound up, you just get taken away by the action, brilliant colors, the depth of the 3D. Simply amazing. I recommend you get this 3d version and sit back and relax and enjoy.

The visuals in this movie are some of the best I have ever seen. Watching this movie in blu-ray on a huge tv is excellent. I was so entranced by all the little details and colors. Visually, Avatar is one of the all time greatest films.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I had the extended edition blu ray but I have been wanting to get the 3D one for a long time. Finally got it and I don't regret it at all!! 3D effects are great and it enhances the movie experience!

We recently purchased a 60" 3-D television, and wanted to see what it was like to watch a movie in that dimension. As we enjoyed Avatar in 2-D, we decided to check it out in 3-D. The effects were absolutely amazing. A movie we thoroughly enjoyed is even better in this dimension.

Have always loved the movie. And Since re doing my home theater i thought it was time to test it to the max... what better movie then this!! Looks great and Sounds great.. The 3D was Great as well but had some ghosting here and there.. which might be my Tv as its 3 years old...

Everything about it is great, it forces you to step into someone else's shoes and see yourself from their prespective... More people need to do that more often and correct their behaviors... Visually stunning....

Avatar was the biggest hit in the world when it came to theaters, and rightly so. The movie looks and sounds spectacular on Blu-ray, and the 3D version adds to that look with environmental depth that helped to change the way that we think about 3D movie viewing.

I had alrdy bought the extended edition before, and waited a long time to get the 3D version. Unfortunately they never released the extended version on 3D, only the theatrical version here. also it doesn't come w/ a digital copy. Worth buying and collecting if you like this movie. Not as good as classics like Alien or Aliens, but the CG is amazing and 3D only added to it. would still be a few years until we get a sequel and there will be 3-4 movies in total..

I really liked this movie. The world James Cameron created is breathtaking and even better in 3D. It's a little preachy, but most of Cameron's movies are. I do wish they would release the extended edition in 3D, though.

I already saw this in 2D when it first came out on disc. That was a great movie, but I knew i had to see it in 3d some day. This was one of my first 3d bluray purchases for my 3d Tv. I am so glad I got it. James Cameron has done a wonderful job of reintroducing 3d cinema.

Avatar will always be one of those classics you can always go back to and all the extra scenes are pretty dang cool if you ask me. One thing I hate!!! There’s literally three cases that you have to go through to get a disc, none of the discs are labeled, and you have to use this slide out thing to access any of them. By far the most difficult way I’ve had to grab a movie lol

We knew this movie was great and made optimal for 3D, so when we built our home theater, this was a movie we had to have! Plays great in our theater in both regular and 3D. And at Best Buy we found it for a reasonable price, so it was a great purchase for us.

If you've seen Avatar, you know just how amazing the graphics are in the regular movie. Now think of that amped up x10 watching in 3D. We played this on our new LG 3D TV and were blown away by the colors and effects from the movie. A "must buy" for any 3D movie lover.

I really like this movie and recently got a blu ray player and since the animation is cool I thought this would be a good first Blu-ray Disc purchase. I was right. Blu-ray is pretty cool. Movie was a little pricey so just try to catch it on sale or use your best buy rewards.

I now have three versions of Avatar; the regular length movie, the extended Blu-ray and now the 3-D version. The extended version is by far the best and wish it had been in 3-D. The 3-D version looks fantastic and is the standard for all future 3-D movies.

Good movie plot and action scenes, but most impressed by the quality of the images. This movie has the best image resolution of any I have ever seen on Blu-ray. You don't need 3D to appreciate it. The CGI is tops. One of the few worth the higher price of Blue-ray.

Had the lowest expectations but the packing is great! Movie has a couple of extra scenes but the 2 additional discs have lots of extras. Surprised by the high quality of the packaging.

You are buying this if you liked the original movie.The extra scenes throughout really add to the movie.It's Like a big ol good book..you just don't want it to end.I do not want to spoil anything but being a fanboy of this movie I say 2 Thumbs Up!Get It!

This is the movie that makes 3D a legitimate art form, and not just an added on gimmick. It often feels as if you are watching the events happen live, in person, not on a screen. The plot isn't Oscar worthy, but just about every other aspect of this masterpiece is.
