I had been wanting to get this movie for years but I didn’t feel like paying $30 for the version I wanted. I found this one for $13 and it had what I wanted in it, so I couldn’t pass this one up!

I got the 3D version because of the sale price. I recently upgraded some components of my home theater and I'm now collecting more 3D movies. The movie looked great on my 46"LG with my Oppo BDP103. Since this was the movie that really started the current 3D trend and I hadn't seen it in 3D yet I was anxious to check it out. I was not disappointed. The 3D effect was very good, the forest sequences and the flying sequences looked just great. The DTS HD Master sound was also very good when played through my NAD receiver and Paradigm surround speakers. It is a good addition to my collection.

Avatar 3D has spectacular 3D effects almost comparable to seeing it in the theater. While the screenplay is subpar, James Cameron's Avatar is a visual feast with a great plot and decent acting by its major players. This was the first 3D blu-ray I purchased after buying my 3D TV/blu-ray player and it was definitely worth it.

I watched this movie in a theater when it first came out and it is one of my top-rated movies. I recently purchased an LG OLED 3D TV and wanted to see Avatar in 3D. The movie has excellent 3D effects, but is never over the top.The 3D affect definitely enhances the viewing experience.

Already had the 2D Bluray of this movie, but recently bought a 3D capable TV (OLED65C6P) and wanted to try out the 3D version. Detail is excellent as is the immersion experience. Even if you're not a big fan of the story - the 3D experience is worth watching over and over anyway. Stunning.

I wish they would bring back the 3d version, maybe if they make a 4k transfer around the time the new film comes out they will include a 3d copy

A beautiful collector’s edition with 3 versions of the timeless James Cameron sci-fi fantasy film, including 2 with extra minutes and 1 with an alternate opening. Even better it comes with a plethora of extras and behind the scenes footage. Great cast and awesome packaging.

I was a little hesitant at first since I own the dvd versions where they split the movies in two discs. On blu ray, all three movies are on one disc. Happy to own this version. Bummer there’s no digital-copy.

I first saw Avatar when it first came out in 2009, then I had to watch it in 3D. The rave about it was convincing of the fad that 3D is. Recently I purchased a new TV with 3D capabilities, and since Avatar is one of the few authentic 3D movies ever made I made it my first purchase--I wasn't disappointed.

The 3D version doesn't have anything flying out of the screen at you, but there were a couple of times where it felt like you could reach out and grab some of the things that were floating in the scene. The 3D version also adds allot of depth to the scenes, which makes all of the colors in this movie really pop-out.

Saw this in 3D at the theater. Couldn't afford the 3D version when it first came out. So, bought the DVD.. Wore that out and bought the Blue Ray with DVD. Finally the 3D version was cheap enough for me to spring for it. This is one movie in 3D that is definitely worth owing!

Note: There are no standard DVD's included in this set. That is another 3-disc set with the same issues as this set. This is a 3-disc set offering 3 slightly different versions of this movie. My issue is that all 3 versions are spread across 2 of the discs. About half way through each version, it stops, and you have to remove disc 1, and insert disc 2. With the capacity of BluRay discs, each version should be on its own disc. FYI... The 3rd disc has only the "extras", and could easily been added to the set as a 4th disc.

I haven`t tried all the bonus discs yet, but the movie is just GREAT!!! I have now viewed two of the versions and the second is just that much better than the first. I expect the third to be that much better than the second. Hoping the bonus discs are just as good.

Pocahontas with Space Smurfs. That's the best way to describe the story of AVATAR. Besides that, that's the movie which started all the 3D boom. Unfortunately only the theater version is in 3D and not the much better extended version. Nevertheless, it's worth the time to watch it.

For pure video and audio performance, this release is pretty flawless. The 3D is excellent. However, if you are looking for the extended cut, it's not available here. This release is also bare-bones, just the movie. The extended cut and all the extras are a separate release, though that version is not 3D.

I bought the Blu-Ray version, for use with my 3D flatscreen TV. I also had the battery operated 3D glasses. Between the TV and the glasses, I had to keep swatting at Avatar and all the characters, because they were always "in my face." Great movie. I recommend it.

I bought this because playstation VR now plays 3D blu ray movies. It is AMAZING! Avatar is the best 3D I know of, so far. If you are thinking about buying a PSVR, don't hesitate... it is a great product, and the fact we can now watch 3D movies is just another reason to get one now.

With all the CGI and vibrant colors, this is one of the best 3D movies out there, especially on a 4K TV. It's a very good movie, although it's definitely got a political agenda to it, but it is still very enjoyable. The CGI works well in 3D because it makes a lot of the images pop out on the screen.

We watched this at the theater when first released, and I was blown away by the 3D effects and the movie overall. We watched this Blu-ray in 3D on a screen through a projector in our backyard and I was amazed at how much better the 3D effects were compared with in the theater. It was great!

This is such a great movie to begin with. I have not watched all versions to tell you what is different. The one I watched gave more footage to the beginning to explain how the one main corrector (Soldier) got there.
