best buy installation date

Next available appointment Dec 22, Dec 21 , appointment cancelled by best buy due to best buy employee personal issue. Issue left up to me to try and locate another best buy to install. Failed to get it installed by christmas. Very frustrating, I spend a lot of $$ at bestbuy. I have had numerous issues with Geek Squad service this year. Problems are starting to outweigh the good service. best buy solution was to wait another 3 weeks with new installation. Very frustrated with best buy, and not sure how I am going to handle this. Possible solutions: Have other techs work overtime to get promised service done on time. Locate a best buy for me that can handle the service.

We aim to provide everyone with the best support around, so it's disappointing to learn we were unable to make the appointment work you that you had been waiting for so patiently. That certainly does not match the the level of service we intended to provide when you came to us to schedule an appointment, so I'm sorry for any inconvenience this delay caused. I recommend getting in contact with leadership at the store performing the install to see if they have any options to move up your appointment due to the circumstances.

Poor install
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.In addition to breaking a part of the dashboard console (for which BestBuy is paying to have replaced), the wiring job was less than stellar, including leaving the wire out where passengers could snag it and passing through a hole in an access cover for no apparent reason. I spent 4 hours undoing the mess that was created, including having to cut the cover and reroute the wire behind the cover and tucked away out of the passenger space. Previously had a good install experience on the same vehicle at this store, but this one left a sour taste.

Very disappointed

We had to wait over a month for installation of a simple backup camera and they canceled a day before! They said they didn’t have any installers. How Don’t they have 1 installers? Very disappointing. Now we have to wait 2 more weeks and drive an hour to a different location for a 15 minute job. Very inconvenient and unprofessional!

Incorrect parts - no communication

Attempted to contact the store, National call center to the call and said I couldn’t talk to anyone at this store, they don’t receive calls. I explained I live an hour away and needed to speak with someone, she said to drive there and hung up. I drove in, a manager said they’d correct it and would call me the next day, they never called. Currently have an obstructed view backup camera, waiting on a callback or have to drive an hour (one way) AGAIN.

Tech was rude

The tech was not very friendly and it only worked for about 5 minutes so then I had to wait to reschedule them to look at it to find out the deck was bad and I would have to get another from Amazon. After not having a radio for 2 weeks and paying almost 300 dollars. I installed the replacement deck myself.

Damaged the product and didn’t say anything

Sloppy Job

The backup camera cable was run under the frame & is hanging about 3” below the frame because it was not secured probably. They mounted the camera in front of the license plate instead of removing the plate & properly mounting it behind the plate. Inside the truck the mic wire was not properly installed behind the headliner, it is hanging down in front of the windshield, A mess was left in the floorboard from drilling in the dash. It is the sloppiest job I have ever saw. My 10 year old grandson could have done a better job. Can’t believe such a mess cost me &260

Very bad experience!!

I was advised to go the West Side Best Buy in about two weeks. I was leaving town, so had to book with an independent installer for about $100 more. Very bad!!!!!!

Best Buy Online and Tech didn’t advise correctly

Only after the install was paid for and completed did the technician say at some point to switch it out. It would have been beneficial to know this ahead of time. The reverse camera is useless where it was installed.

Terrible service

Then waited 3 weeks to get it installed out of the area to find out the camera they ordered was the wrong one. Then the representative refunded me the wrong amount of money. Had to go back to get the correct refund. On top of all this you can’t call your store because of your phone set up. I will avoid going to your store.

Bummed

It’s finally installed after three appointments that were scheduled unfortunately months apart from purchase the radio doesn’t even work now and again we got an appointment three weeks from the date we called the car has no radio no camera nothing works.

Not happy about being charged for items and instal

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was charged for a back up camera as well as the instillation when I already told them at the time of the purchase back on February 20th I didn’t need to purchase another one because I already had two and didn’t take there backup camera . they were supposed to credit back my bestbuy credit card but they didn’t and then forgot What was supposed to be getting installed at my appointment on March 13th! Iam really upset I had to pay for a bunch of items that they had already charged me for and then deleted the installation information
