It just became too much

The radio instal was a nightmare (about 6 different visits and probably 8 months). The rear camera took 2 visits and it doesn’t perform the way it should bc of my license plate. I mean maybe u will go there and it’ll be smooth. If u asked me if i would have audio work done on my vehicle with Best Buy?….i would say, No

Terrible backup camera installation experience

He was told the installation would take 1.5 hours and he was there over 4 hours waiting for the installation to be complete. This was the second time he drove 3 hours round trip to have this installed. The first time he went for his appt they said they were too busy to do it and he had to turn right around and drive the 1.5 hours home.

Don't Shop at BestBuy!! Terrible service!

They didn't have the part I needed when they were supposed to, they don't answer their phones, no way to contact them and no communication! I did not accomplish what I wanted and instead all I did was waste time, money, and anguish!

Product not installed , but mentioned as done

The technician ( first name - Jose) at North Riverside Chicago , refused to install them. He rather asked me to get a 200$ membership for auto part installation. I was also told that, the technician is not familiar how to attach it with my car. It was mentioned on the purchase site that the products are compatible with my car model.

Poor Install !!! Very Unhappy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.They ran the wire with no wire loom to protect the wire, only used a couple zip ties to hold the wire. ran the wire so my spare tire could not be lowered down without damaging the wire. Very Poor Install. I'll never go to or recommend best buy. I sent 3 emails. no response. They asked If i wanted to be called they never called. I called the Dewitt Best Buy and ...got a message the store in not accepting phone calls.....WTF

Geek Squad was great, then not so much.

Month later and LOUD cracking sound randomly unless off. Appointment for trouble shooting and recommendation from Geek Squad of probably problem and no other help... Useless Kenwood and rear view camera as it all has to be off until I find the recommended amp, then order, schedule appointment, and hope it is the fix. This is not ideal, I cannot use the system at all.

best buy audio installer screwed up royaly

Also, the tech left so much wire from my dash to the floor jam and didn't properly secure it in place. The wire is so long it reaches the floor and gets tangled in my clutch,gas and brake pedals.... First day the backup camera stopped moving the guiding lanes when i turned y steering wheel... Really not pleased with the work i paid for

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.initial installation didn't connect all speakers to the new head unit, resulting in all voice services (phone calls) not working. Rear speakers and sub are not connected at all. Back-up camera install is bad, not leveled and not tilted down enough to be useful. Just scheduled another appointment. Hopefully they can fix all of it.

I understand it is hard to hire younger people with a decent work ethic but this was pure laziness because they did not want to run the wires under the vehicle.

$842 radio/backup camera install NOT

GS was very confident install would look professional and everything would work. Day of install heard 50% chance steering wheel controls would work. Uncomfortable with splicing wires for backup camera. Returned everything. What a crock! Never again. $842 in business u lost.

Poor installation service

Back up camera didn't work when putting in reverse. Agent said the unit was bad but it was not. Wires interfered with sliding rear glass in trunk door (4 runner). Ground wire incorrectly mounted. It took me 6 hours to take it all apart myself and redo it so it worked. What a waste.

Communications failure

He checked to make sure it was compatible with my Ford Fusion (2013). After the camera arrived, I took it to the local Best Buy for my scheduled appointment. There I was informed that the camera, in fact, was not compatible with my car. You need to proofread the info you post on your website.

Poor service - never again.

I would rather pay another installer a local small business to do the work. Big box stores and complications just do not mix well. The scheduling to the service received and the after care was horrible.

Good tech. Bad support when schedualing

Called to install 3 products in car. They only reserved time for one. Called when saw this on email. Still said it was okay to come in. When appt occurred. The tech said exactly what I said that they messed up the schedualing. Highly unsatisfactory. Mananger promised a gift card but never received.
