B-Motor died after 6 hours of use. Had 3 good prints before it died. Returned to Best Buy after Bambu Lab support recommended replacing the unit.

A Huge Hit with Our Son

We got the Bambu A1 3D printer for our son for Christmas, and it has been fantastic so far. Setup was surprisingly easy, even for beginners, and we were printing within no time. We’ve already made a bunch of different items, and everything has printed smoothly with great quality. We haven’t had a single issue, and the machine itself is really cool and impressive to watch in action. Overall, it’s been a great purchase and a lot of fun for the whole family.

Got this because I was sick of leveling my old print bed and how much time and dedication that thing took. This new printer is awesome. Very easy to use and just about everything is automatic. I have quite a bit of experience with 3d printers and this is a breeze. Nice app to go along with it. My wife has been printing more than me lately and she has no idea how to do anything but the basics which consists of cleaning the bed after the print and reloading new filiment. Pros: -Auto bed leveling (yay!) -Super simple interface in the app -Very quick print times -Clean prints, using custom settings and ironimg helps minimize layer lines and creates a smooth finish -filiment depletion detection -AMS is a cool concept and works suprisingly well -AMS has auto filiment feed -setup was simple and very well detailed Cons: -tubing is fairly short. AMS needs to be real close to the printer - due to the speed needs a very stable table to be on. - you actually need to print a discard bucket, tool to release tubing (its a pain without) and cable managment (not totally necessary but with the AMS being as close as it has to be probably a good idea). Some might not see this as a con but its an added cost that shouldnt be there. -Printing with AMS isnt as user friendly as single color printing, tweaks have to be made to ensure no color bleed and purging. -The bambu studio software took a bit to get up and running. Had to disable my secondary graphics card on my laptop to get it to run and that suggestion came from my google search, support didnt have a solution. -lots of waste printing complex colored prints, but its to be expected on a single extruder system. Overall I love this thing. Its a great printer for begginers as well as experienced users that want to get complex with their prints. Side note: I did a lot of research between all of bambu's printers and for the price and ease of use (and ease of access on the AMS side) this one came out on top for my personal needs.

I absolutely love the Bambu A1 Combo with AMS. From day one, it’s been incredibly easy to use, intuitive, and reliable. The setup was straightforward, the interface is user-friendly, and the print quality is consistently excellent. The AMS system is a game changer—multi-color and multi-material printing is seamless and dependable, which has opened up so many creative possibilities. What really sets Bambu apart is how trustworthy the entire ecosystem feels. The printer just works, and when I do have questions, the support and resources are outstanding. The Bambu app is well-designed and makes monitoring prints, managing files, and controlling the printer incredibly convenient, even remotely. Overall, the A1 Combo with AMS has exceeded my expectations and has become a printer I genuinely trust and rely on. I would confidently recommend it to both beginners and experienced makers alike.

This printer is simply amazing. I saved up and upgraded to the A1 after years of manual bed leveling with a peice of paper (if you know, you know) and tweeking my Ender 3 that it was time for a change. First off i got it while on sale so i got lucky and price will usually be the same as if you got it straight from the official site, but the no interest financing with the card helped me make the final decision. Secondly this printer was so easy to set up, instructions were super user friendly that i had it out of the box and printing in less than an hour. Mind you about 50% of that time was the initial calibrating and software updates. I didn't want to be basic so no i did not print out a Benchy first. The first print was actually parts for it to top mount the AMS Lite and when i saw those first laying drop... well it nearly brought a tear to my eyes. Every layer went smooth and fast and the amount of ambient noise it produced was hardly noticable. And everything is so user friendly a beginner will have zero problems with it and someone with experience can bring out even more potential. UPDATE After about a month of having it and ripping though about 3 rolls of filament printing everything from tools for woodworking, toys for my son, props such as helmets and fidgets for friends i must say i will never regret this purchase. It has a spot right next to my tv no less than 4 feet from it and we can hardly hear it. It has had zero faults and im using filament from Temu and Aliexpress and things come out looking great. PETG on the other had has huge stringing issues and everything comes out bad IF you send it from the app. For PETG use the Slicer and correct things on there and it has minimal stringing that you can just cut off the melt off the a lighter. Filament waste with AMS is always an issue but the 4 color option is a must. OVERALL.... get it you will not be disappointed.

I'm super happy with this 3D printer. This is my first ever printer and I've never touched a 3D printer before this too. Set up was pretty easy and straight forward with the book but I did watch a set up video prior to as well. The AMS lite is really fun and I've been doing a number of multicolor prints already. It doesn't come with anything more than a strip of filament so make sure you have some ready for when your printer arrives. I was up and printing within an hour of it arriving and now I can't stop. I'm still a little nervous and won't print when I'm not home but that's me. Oh yeah don't hook the AMS lite up to the printer before it's turned on and everything is updated and ran through the configuration as you'll need to oil under the build plate (which I didn't know) and removing the filament is a little bit of a pain for me. Thankfully there's a print to help with that. I opted to get this printer via Best Buy over Bambu because I got free shipping.

WOW, I was not expecting this printer to work so well. I am so impressed with it. First off it hardly take any space compared to my close printer and it's super light and so quiet, I couldn't believe how quiet it was and the fact you can use the touch screen, phone and computer. That is great especially for first time 3d printer buyers. The Bambu Lab app is so easy to use just find what you want and press print and the A1 starts printing. I chose the A1 combo so I could print multi color. I would advice to print an enclosure to keep the filament dry, you can find that in the Bambu app and it's free. I would definitely recommend this A1 printer but especially the A1 combo, it much cheaper. You will be amazed on how great this printer quality is.I was hesitant to buy, but I'm so glad I bought it and thinking of getting another as a gift for my nieces.Buy one, especially right now, they are so cheap in price. In my opinion you not get a better 3D printer at this price. I love it!

The Bambu Lab A1 is an impressive little 3D printer that’s fast, quiet, and super easy to use—even for beginners. Setup takes just a few minutes, and prints come out clean and sharp right out of the box. The optional AMS Lite system makes multi-color printing fun, though it can be a bit finicky at times. The touchscreen is slick, the software’s intuitive, and the whole machine feels well-built. It’s not perfect—filament loading can be tricky, and color changes waste a bit of filament—but for the price, it’s a fantastic option for hobbyists who want speed without sacrificing quality.

Bambu A1 Combo Review: Belive the hype

I recently got the Bambu A1 Combo with the AMS Lite (the automatic feeder for up to four spools), and I have to say—the experience has been absolutely awesome. I upgraded from an Ender, and the difference is night and day. The A1 is simpler to use, significantly faster, and virtually trouble-free. One of the best-kept secrets is the MakerWorld app—you can browse, slice, and send prints straight from your phone or PC over Wi-Fi. It’s super convenient and works like a charm. Honestly, my only regret is not ordering more filament—this printer makes it so easy and fun to print that I ran through my initial supply way too fast! Highly recommended if you're ready to take your 3D printing to the next level.

I have had three other 3d printers. This is my first Bambu. Man did they get it right. I am printing more than ever. It’s fun now. I know how to tinker. I have 45 years in mechanical engineering. I like to build things and have done a lot of restoration work. I can fix things. When I want to print in 3d I just want to print. I don’t want to spend thirty minutes unloading a nozzle, twenty minutes trying to get the first layer to adhere, ………. This printer does what it is suppose to do print. I didn’t have to get a raspberry pi and download multiple programs to print from my iPhone. I downloaded an app and presto it just works. These printers have a reputation, and it’s a good one.

This printer is excellent. Was hesitant about a bed slider and not being enclosed since it limits what you can print, but the updated tech and price make it worth it over the P1S for PLA and PETG prints in my opinion. The current Black Friday sale price is a steal too. It’s also a lot quieter than other core-xy printers in this price range (comparing it to the flash forge AD5X and elegoo Centauri carbon) and even beats out the enclosed P1S in that department too. If you think you’ll want to print ABS or ASA get the P1S, or even better wait for the P2S. But if you are just starting out or want a printer primarily for PLA and PETG you can’t go wrong with the A1. Just be prepared for some assembly — which knocks a star off the ease of use.

As a long-time user of consumer and professional-grade 3D printers, I can confidently say this machine raises the bar across the board. From the moment I unboxed it, the build quality was immediately evident—rigid frame construction, intuitive touchscreen interface, and seamless setup made a strong first impression. But it’s the print quality that truly sets it apart. Whether printing high-resolution prototypes or complex multi-part assemblies, the detail and layer consistency are astonishing. The dual-extrusion system functions flawlessly, with zero clogging or misalignment across a 30+ hour continuous print. The automatic bed leveling is not only accurate—it’s smart. It adjusts dynamically during printing to maintain flawless adhesion, which drastically reduces failed prints and wasted filament. On the software side, the included slicer is fast, responsive, and packed with pro-level controls while still being beginner-friendly. This printer isn’t just a tool—it’s an innovation engine. For professionals and serious hobbyists alike, it’s a clear front-runner and absolutely worthy of a top industry prize

This printer is very easy to set up and use. I really like that Bambu's MakerWorld has multiple accessories for the printer. For the A1 with the AMS System it is a must to print the top mount and stiffener brackets to save space. Along with this I highly recommend printing the AMS Spool Locks. My only complaint is the x-axis cable can get caught on the bed, however this can be easily solved by downloading and printing any one of the cable solutions on MakerWorld. Lastly, I recommend printing a bin for waste. Overall it has great print quality and is easy for any beginner to use.
