This is one of our favorite series about WWII. The acting and realism are incredible. Both my father and grandfather (both have passed) were veterans of this war so it has special meaning for us. I raised my kids watching this every year on D Day and was happy when my 22 year old daughter requested her own set. Another reason to be a proud American.

I already had a copy of Band of Brothers but there had been a sneaky game going between my best friend and I so I just bought a second copy so we could both have it. Band of Brothers is one of the best based on a true story shows ever. If you haven’t watched it and have the absolute to deal with realistic war situations watch this show.

This movie is amazing start to finish. Highly recommend watching this.

Not really a war movie buff, but this movie shows the "other" side of Saving Private Ryan. Not the German side, but what the other American Troops went through trying to make sure that the beach attack go successful, but why they failed in their attempts. Also what went on during the rest of WWII. Even bought the Pacific version too!

Everyone should own this and watch it. It's one of those few legendary series of films that occasionally comes along that not only awes us but inspires us to do better with our lives. The group that these films follows is one to be respected from the second world war. Definitely recommend getting this on the highest definition your system can do. Completely worth it.

"Band of Brothers" is a true story which follows the exploits of the 101st Airborne Division Easy Company from their initial training, their landing in France as part of the D-Day invasion and finally through the end of WWII. The movie is amazingly well-written and acted. The sets, locations and equipment are quite detailed which lends to the overall 'you are there' feeling throughout.

My dad use to watch this on HBO back then when it came out and always talked about how good it was. When I saw it on Blue ray I decided to check it out. It's a great series and the details in the movie is beautiful! I didn't realize tom hanks and spielberg directed the movie. I recommend this to anyone

An Iconic portrayal of true hero's from the United States. What these men did for their country and fellow soldiers should be taught in every school. this follows Easy company through WWII. The sacrifices made by these men is remarkable, but ask them and they say they are not special just doing what needed to be done and helping my fellow soldier. Great Story!!! Required viewing for every Millennial

Band of Brothers is an excellent mini-series that details the battles fought by E company, 506th regiment, 101st Airborne of World War II. This set is packed with extras, interviews and BTS stuff to make any fan of the show happy.

One of the most personified retelling of a WWII story I have ever seen. Based on a novel and many eyewitness testimonials of the Men of Easy Company 506 Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, brings all the courage, terror and angony of WWII to life. Just like another movie I saw which gives you the same sense and style (Saving Private Ryan) takes you on a journey you won't soon forget.

Haven't seen this BluRay version yet, but had the DVD set when it came out and I binge-watched it and was so impressed with what at the time was a terrific sound track and a riveting story line. I donated all of may DVD's and had to have this series in BluRay.

I love the fact that they use characters based on real people. Watching Band of Brothers shows almost every detail that these men went through that endured losses, and to achieve victories. I would also recommend watching The Pacific, another theater of the war around the same time. Not to mention made and produced by the same people who brought you Band of Brothers.

It started with "Saving Private Ryan", then Hanks, Spielberg, Ron Howard, and Tom Brokaw, did spinoff series with HBO, "The Pacific", and "Band Of Brothers" completed the WW2 triad. The 3 best war dramas ever made! I grew up with relatives who served with Patton, The Big Red 1, Macarthur etc.After about 5 minutes you're not watching, you're in WW2. One of the best series ever made!

This film by Spielberg and Hanks (based on Stephen Ambrose’s book) gives a fantastic insight into the courage and comradere of the rangers who were dropped behind enemy lines at the start of WWII. The film follows them from battle to battle until Germany’s surrender. A must watch for anyone who enjoys history and excellent film making at its best. Five Stars.

This is with no doubt the best miniseries of all time in my opinion. Great storytelling, (Based on actual events), and great filmmaking. It is like a huge epic movie split into several parts. For a miniseries, it definitely has a great movie quality. It is nice how the actual veterans have commentary before the episodes. Now on Blu-ray it looks even better.

Band of Brothers is Spielberg and Hank’s best work! It is the best visual WW2 adaptation I have ever watched. It captures the raw emotions of being a soldier and you feel as if you are right there with them. This was a gift for my husband but quickly became one of my favorites, and something we watched together every night. Highly recommend adding this to your collection.

The video collection is true to the book. Having spent more than 40 years as a paratrooper, 1968-2010 in primarily Special Forces but also 1/508 PIR and 2/504 PIR, the video series and book really bring back the feel of being part of an exclusive warrior brotherhood. It should be required viewing/reading for ALL high schoolers and recommended for everyone else.

What I consider to be one of the best series about the battles in the European Theater during World War II. From the Normandy Invasion thru the final days in Berlin. An award worthy series by one of our greatest directors of all time.
