"Band of Brothers" is a completely amazing HBO miniseries produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. This miniseries has the same grittiness and action as "Saving Private Ryan" which makes it great. I enjoy how in "Saving Private Ryan" the airborne is mentioned and in "Band of Brothers" it's all about the U.S. Army 101st Airborne during the war. The idea of being able to understand another side of the story is both amazing and interesting. This miniseries is very entertaining and just dang good because there's both awesome action and great stories to tell. On Blu-ray "Band of Brothers" looks absolutely amazing and I generally highly recommend this HBO miniseries on either DVD or Blu-ray because you'll enjoy in which ever one you see it in.

To me this is my favorite series to come from HBO. It is just as good as Saving Private Ryan if not better. I really liked how it slowed down the war and really showed the hardships due to lack of supplies both medical and ammunition as well as harships due to weather, disease, and infection. This truly is a must have for anyone who has blu-ray and surround sound because the movie will truly suck you in and you won't want to stop until you are out of disks to play. Another thing that I really liked was the interviews with the REAL LIFE heroes of the series that start off each episode.

If there ever was a mini series to own, this is it. Putting aside the plot and storyline and forgetting its based on a true story on the travels of Easy Company, overall the quality of the work stands above others. The action sequence, depth of detail, and the shooting of the video makes you feel like your there in person. If you liked the attention to detail and authenticity of Saving Private Ryan, then you should buy this. I can't say enough how much I enjoy this series other than to tell you I already had the DVD version, but when I seen the Blu-Ray on sale I had to get it. Its that good. Even the extras are worth watching. By far its one of the best purchases I have made when it comes to movies.

One of the best WW2 movies available. I loved the interviews with the actual 101st Airborne guys. I really like how an episode, while following the story, would focus on a particular subject. For example, one was focused on medics and another was on NCOs. My first set though, had an issue with the #4 disc. It would not load in any player that I have. I returned that set, got another one and it has had no problem. Lesson learned: Even if you're not going to watch it it right away, at least test-load all of the discs immediately. If you are going to watch it, take a few minutes and test-load each disc first.

I am a huge WWII buff. I loved Saving Private Ryan but this is so much more in depth. The reality of it is amazing. Great acting, cinematography, and story. The book "Band of Brothers" is amazing and the mini-series does not disappoint either. If you don't completely become enveloped in this, then you are not a fan of great cinema. I owned the DVD edition and recently bought the blu-ray. Its a must-own for any fan of the genre. What a moving epic.

I bought this for a gift over the holidays and my brother loved it!!! I asked about this series from several BB associates and they all said it was incredible and wouldn't disappoint. Based on their descriptions, all being so positive, I bought the BluRay set and it was very well received. War stories aren't my taste in show but from what I have read and heard about it, it's captured very well.

This was a fantastic series and on Blu-Ray makes it that much better. The acting was great, cinematography fantastic, there were so many beautiful shots I didn't know where to look. Overall amazing series and I would recommend it to anyone who loves history or loves to watch something so beautiful.

They set the foundation. Blu-Ray just makes it that much clearer, standard def does no justice to the visuals of this series."

For those that want to get a real account of the men that served in the European theater during WW II, this is a good starting point. Ambroses' story humanizes it with the characters, Spielberg/Hanks executes very well with the production, actors play it out with heart. Highly recommend this series to all students of that era and those that want to start to learn.

I cant express how awesome this series really is! I watched/borrowed this from a friend before and i loved it so much i had to get the blu-ray version. If you like "Saving Private Ryan" then you are sure to love this series. This is my 2nd time to watch it and im sure there will be a 3rd or more in the future.

I feel like an idiot writing about Band Of Brothers. There is nothing I can say that had not been said already. This is a must have on Blu-Ray. It's on my top Ten List and I am confident most people feel the same way. Go get a copy and maybe your review might be more academic than mine.

This remains the GREATEST World War II film or TV series of all time. It is incredibly good.

I now have the whole collection. First I had The Pacific now I've got this one. This. HBO Tv series was so spot on. These are real stories told by those who lived them. One of my favorite movie collections that I own to this day.

It is one of the best things in my movie collection. It is one of the best things you can buy for the money. You will not want to stop watching after you start, and want to have more episodes after it is all over! A must have for anyone.

i sure do love bluray, and this series on bluray is exceptional. im really into wartime movies and the such, and this is one of the best ive seen. no complaints here, worth every penny i spent on it.

This is my all-time favorite series. It never gets old for which I find myself watching the entire series at least once a year. As you would expect, the Bluray series is the one to have.

This is a very well done WWII series. Excellent action scenes, acting, special effects, and directing. A great addition to your DVD collection, especially for WWII buffs.
