The mobility was suprising how good it was. Many action points for some great poses! I just wish there was a stand that would hold him up for even better poses.

My boyfriend is a huge One Piece fan, so for Christmas I wanted to surprise him with something special from the anime. I ended up gifting him this Monkey D. Luffy figurine, along with a Tony Tony Chopper figure that I purchased in a separate order (I also left a review for that item as well). I knew immediately that Luffy was the perfect choice because he’s the heart of the show and one of my boyfriend’s favorite characters, so this felt like such a meaningful and exciting gift for him. When the package arrived, I was genuinely excited because it shipped pretty quickly and the shipping box looked undamaged and unscathed. However, when I opened the shipping box so I could gift wrap the item, I noticed something that honestly disappointed me a lot: the packaging/collector box for the Luffy figure was slightly damaged. It wasn’t completely destroyed or unusable, but it was visibly bent/and torn on the upper left corner , and that really mattered in this case. The reason I was upset is because my boyfriend is not just a casual collector—he’s the type who sometimes likes to keep figures inside the original packaging for display. He also likes having the boxes in good shape because it keeps the figure looking more “collector-worthy,” and some people consider it important for maintaining value over time. So even though the damage wasn’t catastrophic, it definitely took away from that “perfect collectible” feeling I was hoping for, especially since it was meant to be a Christmas gift. The damage to the box was disappointing to say the least, and I highly recommend checking the photos I uploaded so you can see exactly what I mean. That being said, I want to be fair because the actual Luffy figure itself is really nice. The detailing and overall design look great to me—the sculpt and paint look clean, and it definitely captures Luffy’s character and personality well. I’m not an expert in figurines or collectibles, but to someone who buys anime gifts and sees my boyfriend’s collection often, this one looked impressive and totally worth it in terms of the figure itself. Overall, I think my rating depends on what kind of buyer you are. If you’re someone who wants the figure mostly for display outside the box (or even for play) and you don’t care too much about keeping the packaging perfect, then I’d say go ahead and order it online because the figure itself is great and it arrived safely. However, if you’re like my boyfriend and you care about having the box in mint condition for display/collecting purposes, then I honestly think you may be better off buying it in-store where you can personally inspect the box before purchasing. That way you avoid the risk of receiving a damaged package in the mail. Even with the packaging issue, I’m still glad I got it because my boyfriend loved the figure itself— I just wish the box had arrived in better condition so it could have been perfect from start to finish.

The left arm broke instantly just by moving it gently. This product should be recalled and the customers given their money back! I’ve been trying to get in touch with S.H Figuarts to inform of thisbut they will not get back to me. I come to find out this is an issue with this product from other buyers. And you guys at Best Buy will not take it back either. So now why am I the one who is suffering from the consequences? Can you at least help out in some way?

The product itself is what my son wanted, so that awesome. It was the best price I found for the items and the delivery speed was incredible.
