I tried these plus the Jabra elite 65t, and Bose wireless sport. I'd rank them: 1. Bose / 2. B&O / 3. Jabra Both B&O and Jabra lack bass; like no bass at all. Bose has the best balanced sound w/ good bass. The B&O are very clear and get very bright; too bright for my taste. The app is not very intuitive and doesn't give you much flexibility to control sound settings. You can basically move a slide around to get warm, excited, relaxed, and bright sound. The bass is non existent. Guess to be expected from earbuds, but when you pop the bose wireless spots in, boom the bass is great. Jabra's, I scratch my head why so many think these are good; the sound quality is okay with zero bass. Not nearly as clear as B&O or Bose.

Excellent In-ear Headphones - pricey but superb

Expensive but impressive, these complete wireless in-ear phones are pretty amazing. Set up was easy and they fit like a dream, with several sizes - the default ones worked for me. The controls take some time to get use to and the taps between track change and pause can get mixed up. The phone app allows for adjusting EQ and the ability to allow outside sounds in when needed. These are premium and realistically overpriced, but you get what you pay for and I am glad to have them.

The sound quality on these earbuds is amazing. The app has tons of options for transparency which i found the most useful. The built in microphones in the earbuds is very responsive. I would wear the right ear bud only while driving and use it like a bluetooth headset. Sound is amazing. Tons of options to play with. My earbuds were stolen. I was very attached to them, and I am now considering buying another pair because that's how much i love these things.

Have had them for two days and very happy with my purchase. The quality of these are amazing. I was a bit reserved because of the price and a some of the reviews I read but I am glad I got them. I thought about getting the BOSE true wireless but decided on the B & O and glad I went with these. I got these for the convience of no wires and plan on doing a lot of traveling soon. I haven’t had any problems with connection and followed the instructions and updated the firmware for these.

    Great Sound with Great Features

The sound is incomparable, but my favorite feature is the transparency mode... you tap the left ear piece and you can hear people talking to you. It essentially allows you to tune into your surroundings without having to take your earphones out.

    Customer service is the worst

I was walking across the street to campus and my charging case for my Beoplay E8 fell out and someone ran them over. They were immediately destroyed. Called customer service and they don’t care at all it’s not under warranty which I understand but the worst part is they don’t even sell the charging cases nor do they do repairs. They sell the headphones though (mine are perfectly fine since they were in my ears) for $120 bucks. I’d imagine paying $329 would mean something to them but it doesn’t. Just go with air pods I promise. Eventually when they do sell the charging case you can buy it for $120 bucks so adding the cost of both charging case and earbuds you will be paying less then you would if you just bought them together.

Don't waste your money, B&O missed the mark.

So just an up front disclaimer: I work for Best Buy and paid way less than the normal $300 sticker price due to an offer for Best Buy employees from B&O, and I STILL returned these. Here's why: 1). The setup should be easy, but I spent over 30 minutes trying to get these darn things to pair. After reinstalling the app and rebooting the headphones multiple times, I finally got them to play some music from my Galaxy s6 (don't hate, I'm waiting for the s10). 2.) The app indicates that there is an update for the headphones, so I tried the update about 6 times, and each time it failed right at the end. It indicated not to touch or do anything on your phone or headphones while the update is in progress, and I followed these instructions exactly. 3.) The headphones sound "tinny", like you're listening to them through an aluminum can. The update that I couldn't get to work was supposed to help the overall balance, but I don't think it would fix this problem. The app has the ability to adjust the equalizer in a rudimentary way (by moving a slider near one of four presets) but no adjustment fixes this issue or gets close to providing any sort of flat reproduction of the source material. 4.) The B&O website lists the sound reproduction as 20Hz-20kHz. I find this hard to believe based on what they sound like. I'd guess closer to 100Hz-20kHz and as I mentioned before, the reproduction isn't even close to flat. Anything below 150Hz is almost inaudible. BUT, there are some redeeming qualities to these headphones. Firstly, the headphone itself and the charge case both look and feel really nice. The leather on the case is a nice touch, and the way the headphone magnetically snap into the case is convenient and satisfying. The case is small enough to be ergonomic, and fits nicely in my pocket. The controls on the headphones are well thought out as well. Because they utilize a touch sensor and not a button, you don't end up jamming them into your ear every time you want to change a song (like you do some other brand of earbuds). And lastly, the fit is not that bad, and they look decent in your ear. In conclusion, I would say that the sound quality alone would necessitate the price of the Beoplay E8's to be around $60 before I would buy them again. If B&O had be around a $100 price point for the normal price, maybe this would be a 2-3 star review, but $300? You should be embarrassed to put your brand on these, Bang & Olufsen. UPDATE: Following the return of the E8's I found out that one of my coworkers bought and returned his set too. I will encourage him to do a review so you can read his concerns as well.

These are not worth the price tag. These things are pathetic! Very low volume, absolutely no bass, and the app is horrendous to use. The buds fit well, but that is it. I returned these and got the Bose Soundsports for less money and am much happier. BnO makes good over the ear headphones, but stay away from these.

    Not for active people

I sooo badly wanted to like these ear buds but it wasn’t meant to be. They kept falling out of my ears during gym time and then fell out while I was mowing the lawn. Sound quality is so frustrating to me. One song would sound great, and the next terrible. I found myself constantly adjusting the EQ in the B&O app but it made the music listening experience frustrating as I want to “set it and forget it”. I guess they could be considered decent headphones if you were just sitting at a desk, but for someone that is active and constantly moving, they were not the right choice for me. Best Buy was really cool about returning them though. So a solid shout out to them for taking care of me!

    Average Sound, Sub-par service

Setup is harder than it should be. Sound doesn't come close to matching expectations of a B&O product and their price point. Three months after purchasing, the left earbud fell apart in my ear. Best Buy doesn't take returns/exchanges at that point. Called the B&O service line to find out they take weekends off. Used their self-serve service portal...was told I'd have an RMA in 10 minutes...never happened. Called back on Monday and finally received the RMA...only to receive a "This will take 10-14 days" canned response. Final service miss is to find out they only use UPS ground to return...so add another week+ of not having the product back. Would be different if the sound quality matched the brand's historic reputation...it doesn't.

$50 Bluetooth earbuds with a fancy name

As an owner of many audio headphones and wireless earbuds over the years I have a decent background of what to expect. Based on the price of these I would definitely not recommend them. Nothing about them justifys the price. The sound quality is mediocre and comparable to $100 pairs. The design is poor and they fell out of my ears constantly (tried all provided ear tips). The controls are badly designed as well. Constantly pushing the earbuds into my ear when I try to pause or adjust volume and vice versa, if I want to push them further into my ear because they're falling out which they do all the time then I end up pausing the song. The app looks like someone designed it in a couple hours. The whole product is just not even close to the price tag. You are just paying for the name.

In a year it will die “twice now”

I purchased these a couple years ago. I use them twice a week every week. Twice now the right side bud has stopped working correctly. It will get really quite till the point that you can’t hear it. I have sent them to B&O TWICE FOR THE SAME PROBLEM and they said that they are defective. At this point I’m tired of dealing with a obvious defective product and just want my money back. Or let me try the 2.0 version. I would sacrifice sound quality for better performance or something that just works without sending them back for new ones once a year. Please credit me or send me the new version ! I will change my rating if someone would do something other than keep making me send these cheaply made things back every year.

    Not good at all

I had high hopes for these earpods hoping to switch from my Jaybirds. I do not like that you cannot lock the controls on these (any time I would try to adjust the fit, I would end up changing songs or stopping playback). also I was not happy with the fact that it always had to be the right ear that is in for sound. Also after about a month of use the glue holding the earbuds together failed so now they are held together with tape.
