Purchased it for my husband’s birthday! He loves the luxury feel of it. It’s lightweight and has good sound quality. The app lets you customize the sounds quality to your liking. Great noise cancelling capabilities. I like the elevated look of the product. Comes with a dust bag/ light weight case.

Beoplay's B9 headphones are good wireless units for the price.
The audio is crisp and clear, bass is good and the noise cancelling blocks out a lot of extra noise. They are comfortable for extended periods and the ear cup touch controls are very convenient, not always perfectly reliable but still very nice to have.
I would put these on par with most of the other wireless headphones in their class. The bluetooth connects quickly and smoothly and I didn't have any problems with dropping off. The range is very good for them also, they stay connected from much further than I expected them to go.
I would recommend these to anyone looking for a good wireless over ear headphone set. They are well worth it.

I have owned many over the ear headphones in the past ranging from low to very high dollar amounts but this is my first foray into a higher end product. I have to say that I was skeptical to believe that a set of headphones of this price could be worth it but I was clearly mistaken. I have experience with b&o with the in the ear wireless E8's so I knew what quality of a product they can produce and the H9's did not disappoint! The tonality is good right out of the box but with the b&o app, one can tweak the sound to however desired. Interesting that the sound profile I chose on the H9's was totally different than the E8's but the sound from the H9's is in a word - stunning. I am hearing nuances of the music that I never heard before. The active noise cancelling is very very good and the controls on the right earcup are ridiculously easy and rather intuitive after just a few minutes of use. I did set up google assistant on my phone to use with the headphones and it is easy to activate on the left earcup and is nicely responsive and rather accurate.
Just a couple things they can improve upon in my humble opinion - the directions on pairing the headphones are a bit weak. For example - one needs to have both bluetooth on (of course) and location services on for the app to find the product. Nowhere in the directions or on the websites product manual does it say that location services has to be on for pairing - so after 7 failed attempts to have the b&o app find my H9;s, I had to google search why I couldn't pair and came across another review somewhere that mentioned the location services toggled to on was necessary. Of course, this does not detract from the quality of the product but rather a simple 2 minute pair process took me an hour - and I am rather tech savvy.
One other small negative is that these headphones do not come with a hard case, just a soft "bag" to store them in. A hard case should be standard in headphones of this price. I had to buy a hard case that fits the H9's perfectly. B&O could even raise the price a bit and provide a hard case because let's face it - if your paying this amount of money for headphones (product plus tax), I am betting the same person would pay an extra small bit for headphones and hard case. Basically no difference.
My review score would be 4.5 out of 5 if I could do it on the site. 0.5 off for the cons noted above.

These things are incredible, and I am absolutely smitten with them. Everything about these headphones screams quality and they are a pleasure to wear. Unboxing revealed the headphones, a lined carry bag, and the charging cables. I plugged in the headphones to charge while I started with the instruction booklet. I downloaded the app, paired it with the headphones, and completed the setup process including the Google Assistant feature. I
I took them to test at work because I work in a loud office and I wanted to test the noise cancelling feature. I was VERY impressed. With no music playing, it almost completely reduced the noise that my coworkers generate and I cannot hear myself typing on my keyboard. I don’t have much experience with noise cancelling headphones, but I am really impressed.
The music quality is outstanding. At max volume, it is loud but not overpowering. They just sound so good. You can use the app to change between different settings that can each be edited to your preferences. While listening to music in the office I was taken by surprise when the Google Assistant alerted me to a text message, asking if I wanted it read to me. I pushed the button for yes, and it read the text. I thought that was so cool!!
Last but not least, I want to comment on the quality and comfort. The headband is covered with leather and the ear pads covered in lambskin. The ear covers are SUPER comfortable. I usually cannot wear headphones for too long before I get a headache, but not these. I was able to go all day.
Bottom line is that I thoroughly enjoy these headphones. I haven’t to recharge them so I know the battery lasts several days. I just can’t say enough. These are worth every penny.

These Bang and Olufsen headphones have more than met my expectations, great brand identified with quality, the headphones, are basically delivering a great nice sound, great wireless capacity, active noise cancelling and, the great addition: new integrated in the cup touch controls.
-What is great, new/unique in this model:
I love the single touch management of the basic control functions: Pause/play/take the call, volume management, sound track management, noise canceling activation/deactivation and transparency models. All functions are now done without buttons but with sensitive actions directly executed on the aluminum disk of the right ear cup). A so intuitive process is a game changer versus other models with buttons underneath the cup that you need to remember to execute the function.
I love the transparency mode included. Basically, and without disconnecting the headphones (or taking them out of your ears), with a single touch into your right ear cup, you can stop all the active functions of the headphones and open to a direct interaction with your surroundings.
-Pros:
Because you are looking for sound, the sound is great! Treble, bass and miss are clearly delivered. Without need to be super tech savvy, the headphones are connected to the B&O app that includes some preset listening modes that allows you to adjust the sounds to some virtual surround sound settings too. With a bit more dedication, you can also customize the sound to your own preferences.
Great battery autonomy. Over a week of using it, I think that I already exceed the 18 hours listed in the manuals. A plus also, with the standardization of chargers and to improve the charging times, B&O charger model is a USB-C.
Great wireless capacity but also a corded option with a 3.5 minijack included.
Great quality materials: an aluminum single arm, a leather headband, and memory foam leather ear cushions and shiny aluminum discs. You are wearing the headphones and they are a part of your outfit!
Great use and functionality to pick your calls, the mics (see than more than one are included) make your voice being delivered with a clear transparency.
-Cons:
The first wireless connection took me a while, seems not to be as easy as other wireless devices. I am not 100% sure if it’s a conflict between the google assistant (that should be the main manager for the device) or the wireless function in the phone (android), but only after few minutes (more than 20) and disconnecting the assistant I was able to sync. After the first linkage, the wireless capacity is amazing.
Comparing with other over the ear headphones, I found the cups a bit smaller size than the regular noise cancelling from other brands. While from an aesthetic point of view is hard to notice it, from a comfort perspective, because I wear glasses, they are not the most comfortable model to wear notably now than are still tight.
- Other:
Yes, you can manage then with your google assistant by the single touch of a button in the left ear cup. This is a cool addition that I am neutral with, considering my little usage of this feature.
If the new functionality with controls, sound capacity, noise cancelling function, the quality and the high-end-style are important elements in your decision, you will not be disappointed by this model.

These are my third pair of high end, noise cancelling headphones, which might make me a little bit more picky than others who don’t have as many comparison points.
I will note for starters, that the packaging for the product is superior and sleek. It comes with a two prong cord for flights, an AUX cord, USB connector, as well as a soft carrying pouch.
I had no issues syncing the product and thought the setup was straight forward. Bang & Olufsen make it seem like the compatible app is necessary, but that’s far from the case for most people.
Putting the headphones on for the first time, I noted the quality of the build itself. They’re sturdy and made with very high end material.
The biggest downside though was comfort. I’d like to think I have average size ears but they seemed a bit smooshed in the ear cup. Additionally, the headphones are just a tad too heavy for my liking.
Where they excel is the sound quality and noise cancelling capabilities. The sound is crisp, bass can be heavy if you’d like, and the noise cancelling setting is better than any other headphones I’ve ever had. One notably cool feature is “transparent mode”, which pauses your music and enhances the sound around you. That way, if you needed to hear something around you, you could do so without removing your headphones.
The accompanying app is generally useless unless you’re wanting to have custom settings in place for the audio. The app has pause, play, skip, and volume controls but I can’t imagine why you’d ever want the app to use those. The app is mostly beneficial for checking battery life, registering the device, and tuning audio.
Speaking of the battery life, that’s another point where these headphones strive, by providing 25 hours of play time per charge.
It’s also noteworthy that these don’t bend or fold up, like many other high end headphones. When you’re not using these, or traveling, prepare to lug around the full set instead of being able to fold up and minimize the headphones.
Lastly, the headphones have touch controls on the external ear cups. The left side is for Google Assistant. The right side is for volume, pause/play, skip, etc. Compared to other headphones that I have with touch controls, this worked the best.
Pros: battery life
Touch controls
Active noise cancelling
High quality material
Audio quality
Cons: heavy
Uncomfortable ear cups
Annoying app
Not easy to travel with
In conclusion. If you want comfort, there’s better options. If you want high quality, great noise cancellation, and even better sound, these are for you.

The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H9 are a fantastic over-the-ear noise cancelling headphones. First let’s talk about the fit, in a few words, they fit great! My head is normal sized and these fit just perfect for me. They are not too tight or too loose where they want to fall off your head. I have worn them for hours on end and they are very comfortable and not too heavy for my likes. The build quality seems top notch as well. The headband is a lightweight metal and surrounded by some comfortable padding at the top. The outside of the headband is a leatherette type material, I do not think it is genuine leather, but it does feel nice and high quality. The ear cans slide up and down on the posts and the movement is secure and smooth. My only complaint with the fitment is with the opening in the ear padding, they are round in shape and my ears don’t fit perfectly inside them, so they touch the edges. I do wish the openings were a little bigger than they are. Sound quality is very good with these and I have not been disappointed with that one bit. They have deep rich bass sound and the highs are clear and crisp. Noise cancellation is very good, and I am happy with the way it blocks out everyday distractions while I have it turned on. Max volume is just about right for me. I have headphones that are louder, but I value my hearing these days, so I have no complains there. There is a transparency mode that enhances the background sounds around you and that works well. You cannot play music with that mode turned on though and I find that strange. I have played around with the app and every time you turn on transparency mode, the music stops. I have had other headphones that let those sounds enter so you can still be aware of your surroundings. I wouldn’t recommend wearing these in a busy environment while listening to music though. There is a dedicated google assistant button and it will allow you to hear notifications when you click it. I do like that feature. The app also has a few different listening modes at the touch of a button. Optimal, Commute, Clear, Workout and Podcast. You can also customize the sound between Warm, Relaxed, Excited, and bright. It’s easy to operate and find the right listening mode that you need at the time. Pairing the headphones was a bit of a struggle for me. I found the B&O app does need some work (at least at the time of writing this) and I hope they improve it. It took me a good 10 tries to finally get my Galaxy Note10+ paired with it properly. The touch controls are a little sluggish and lag a bit when you use them. I hope that is corrected in a future update. Right now, though I find myself avoiding them as much as I can. But you can turn transparency mode on and off by sliding up. I find it difficult to find the volume up and down area on the right ear. Overall for the price of these headphones, they do feel that they need some more work still and I hope updates fix the issues and due to that I cannot recommend these until they are fixed.
Pros:
Sound quality
Volume
Bass
Over-all fit
Noise Cancelling
Google assistant integration
Cons:
Transparency mode w/o music
BT pairing with App
Touch controls lag

I had been using Bose on the ear headphones (not Noise Canceling), and I thought they were great. But the Bang & Olufsen Active Noise Cancellation Headphones, in my opinion, are so much better. The over the ear comfort is fantastic. The sound is exact and spot on. There is no outside noise to interfere with listening pleasure. I use then for Video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro, and these headphones are perfect. The battery life truly goes for days, the company claims up to 25 hours on a single charge, and I can say that sounds right to me. If audio is important to you, these headphones are a must-have!

First, the sound is absolutely outstanding. Bass is rich and deep. The noise cancellation is the best I have ever experienced with several high end units such as these. The only small issues I had was the sensitivity of the touch controls on the earpiece. They are very quick to react so take your time and it takes some getting used to the various ways you have to use your finger to control the functions. Only other small issue, is for the high price point, a charging brick should have been included with the headphones. Otherwise these are a winner!

My first impression of the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H9 headphones were these are a quality unit. Build quality is fantastic, these certainly feel like a high end product.
Pairing with my Galaxy Note 10 was easy and I had no issues at all. I downloaded the App from the Play store and paired the phones. The App is OK and does give some EQ settings that make small differences in the sound quality.
The sound quality of these headphones is terrific, deep bass, rich mid-tones and clear high-tones, no complaints at all with the sound quality.
Here are the three issues I have with these headphones. First, the noise cancelling is not as good as it could be. I have a pair of competing headphones which deliver much superior noise cancelling. Second, the touch-pad is what I consider to be very slow in its response to touch. My other headphones respond immediately with no lag, and these B & O headphones lag, and sometimes it does not respond at all to touch. Third, the maximum volume is not very good, a set of headphones in this price range, should have much a much better volume range.
Overall very good, but lags behind other brands at this price.

Packaging was nice, instructions were clear enough.

By far the best noise cancellation I have ever experienced and the transparency function was stellar as well. Very comfortable fit and adjustment, fast charging and long charge hold.

The Beoplay H9 make a definite premium quality statement at first glance. Using the finest quality materials, impeccably assembled, the H9 are the Louis Vuitton of premium headphones.
Sound quality is very good, but lack the precise definition that the visual cues imply. Bass is very strong - so strong, it muddies the tonal balance.
The H9 are beautiful to behold, but lack the ultimate sonic reproduction of lower priced headphones. I rate them a 4 for perfect build quality and looks, and for sound that is a tad less than optimal.
