Conceptually speaking I find Banshee rewarding. Lucas Hood is drawn as a complex character whose initial motivation strictly lies in survival and reconnecting with his former lady love and partner whom he took the fall for 15 years earlier by allowing himself to be captured by the police thereby facilitating her escape (with the proceeds of their recent score). Lucas saw opportunity in assuming the identity of the sheriff but strictly as a means to an end. What he didn’t expect was his adoption of the people in Banshee as well as the discovery that he had a knack for his new “job”. His particular skill set along with an approach that would be deemed overtly unorthodox for a town sheriff makes for an interesting mix that places him in a rotating love/hate relationship with his staff as well as in the crosshairs of the local crime boss, Kai Proctor who makes for a worthy adversary who makes no bones about his agenda or willingness to squash those that may stand in his way.

I like Banshee. There is not another show like it. First, what disappointed me about this season (other then it being the last). First, not as many episodes as in other seasons. Second, not as much martial art fighting. The murder mystery was interesting and the addition of Eliza Dushku was a fine addition to the cast. I am glad that it was done as an ending to the story and they did't just quit it abruptly and leave you hanging.

Let's face it, those who bought this (found it at a great price for Blu-Ray) have already gone thru all the previous seasons. If you are new and like action (some awesome action sequences here), a dark atmosphere with touches of fun, solid acting, mystery and plot twists, don't miss this series finale (or is it?). You may get all previous seasons and have a treat, but in a way, this season may be viewed as a stand alone.

Dynamic, suspenseful, action packed but a little predictable! However, it kept me my interest throughout the entire series and I most say that it was a good show !! I would recommend this show only to a person that likes to see some good fighting scenes, some law breaking outlaws and corruption ! Overall I personally liked the show up to a 4 1/2 stars !

Season 4 (the final season) was the 'weakest' one yet. I thought the show peaked in season 2 and had dropped off a bit since. The tone changed quite a bit with not enough time to reestablish the new pace. Only 8 episodes. No problem with the blu-ray presentation in this set. It looks good for Super 16 film. Worth it for completion of the series.

I was expecting more of the season to be dedicated to the resolution to the end of season 3's Job abduction and I thought the serial killer story line was odd choice. However, all things being equal, this season does a good job of resolving the outstanding story lines and series. All-in-all, one of, if not the best of Cinemax's original series.

I've been a fan of this entire series since day 1. Really liked the characters and the action. The fight scenes felt so real and visceral. Great show to binge on during covid-19.

Copious amounts of content that is for mature audiences - but if you don't mind this type of content, this show is quite good. Check out an episode or two of the first season, and if you like it, pick up the rest of the series.

Love the action of the last three season of Banshee but the last season was good but could have been better. I did like how the last episode ended but the story could have been better but it is still good

I enjoy the story lines of the series and the main star Antony Starr does a good job of portraying the ex-con turned sheriff. The acting is pretty good considering there aren't any big named actors.

Banshee was one of my favorite shows. This season was not as good as the first three. I'm just glad we got to see a conclusion for Lucas Hood.

For me, one of the better series on Cinemax. There was no holding back. Explicit action through and through. Hated to see it end.

Season 4 brings Banshee to a close. Despite a few flaws, it ends on high note for all the characters we've come to love.

Finally bought the entire series since I no longer have cinemax. Great action, plots and lead actors.
