    Connection made for TV/Soundbar

    Smaller TV in bedroom was missing a connection that was not completed on 2/27 when soundbar was added to this TV. This connection was completed by Geek Squad tech on a second visit a few weeks later & sound now comes through the soundbar only.

    I LOVE the Geek Squad. They have come out for each delivery and installation and they have gone above and beyond with their help, explanations and installation. Worth every penny

    Geek Squad was awesome. They had installed my TV the day before the sound bar. When I told them the sound bar arrived after they’d left, they came back out the next day to install the sound bar. I couldn’t have asked for better service!

    I had never utilized the Geek Squad before and like anything new, had some hesitation. However, the technician who was sent to install the product that we purchased from Best Buy was personable, friendly and tech savvy. He did a great job in getting the product installed and making sure it worked properly before he left.

    Geek squad tech did a super job setting up TV and programing my remote. Really knew what he was doing. Highly recommend you use this service if you have any more than just a plug in and turn on setup! I had surround sound and Logitic remote to be programmed. Paid a little extra over basic setup but well worth it!

    I bought a TV, Ultra HD Blu-ray player, sound bar with sub woofer; all Sony. With all the new high tech, it was an easy choice to have them installed by a pro. They were in and out within an hour taking all boxes with them and making sure I knew how to work the remotes. Well worth the peace of mind.

    The Geek Squad made all necessary connection for my TVs and were very considerate and respectful in our home. They covered working areas to protect furniture, wore 'booties' and masks. They worked steady and effectively.

    They were prompt, courteous and very professional. They solved an unknown space problem where the CD changer would not fit exactly in the entertainment center by making use of RCA plugs with a 90-degree angle to them.

    The agents who came to help us with the installation of our sound bar were outstanding. They went above and beyond to be sure our new sound bar and television were giving us the optimum service. Just can't say enough good things about both of them.

    Just want to let you know this is a rather lengthy review but ai wanted to be sure each issue was explained. If I could rate ZERO stars I would. After purchasing my Sony Bravia XBR 65X900F TV and Sony HT-Z9F soundbar this past February, I wasn’t able to balance the volume input between the two. There were shows on Amazon Prime where I had to have the TV volume all the way up to 100 while the soundbar was on 50 and still wasn’t very loud. If I turn the soundbar off and revert to the TV speakers I can hear the show just fine between 35 and 40db’s. I enrolled in the Geek Square annual service and on 8/25 a tech came to my house to make adjustments. They were unable to rectify the situation stating it had to be a faulty soundbar and if I took it into the store in Roseville, Ca where I bought it perhaps they would swap it for either a new one or a different model. She went on to say it wasn’t uncommon for Sony TV’s and Sony soundbars to “not play well together”. I took her advice and returned the soundbar on 8/29 to the Magnolia department where the notion of exchanging it was dispelled immediately. They said it would have to be returned to Sony for repairs. I was notified on 10/1 it was repaired and I could pick it up. My wife went to pick it up and even something THAT simple was a fiasco. First the service tech couldn’t find it even though she had the paperwork that was given to me when it was dropped off. Next I was put on the phone with him and had to go through everything my wife did in identifying the unit. After almost an hour standing there and close to 20 minutes on the phone the tech magically found it. I brought it back some, went through the special instructions on how to connect everything so it would function properly. The result? SAME ISSUE!! It still wouldn’t sync the volume between the TV and soundbar. So i’ve run out of patience which is why I want to share my experience with EVERYONE who is shopping for Sony TV/Soundbar combinations AND those who are considering subscribing to the Geek Squad Total Tech Support to think twice about both purchases.

    I had a surround sound system that failed after 20 years. It was built in with the house and impossible for me to undo. The Geek Squad installed my new sound bar and disconnected the old without a hitch. Excellent service in a timely manner.

    The reps installed & connected my whole entertainment system, got everything up & running, & connected to the internet in no time, then came back to do a minor fix-it after the Direct TV installation messed up the internet connection. I'm so glad I paid for Geek Squad set-up & service!

    While she was here working to correct the receiver issue we were having, the tech offered additional services for additional small fee which I readily too her up on. Using my Bluetooth speakers outside that have been installed for 2 years and unusable. Thank you

    the agents connected our sandbar and subwoofer to the tv so that we use only one remote and answered our questions. they were very efficient .

    I was unsuccessful in completely hooking up my new AV receiver, so I called in the Geek Squad. My agent, John L., was amazing. He hooked up the receiver to all of my components and updated my universal remote. It all works great now. John L. is the consummate professional!
