Problem with sound after installation.

Agents installed and set up new receiver quickly into existing home theater system. Sadly, I discovered a few days later that there is sometimes no sound when I change channels, or pause live tv. Unfortunately I went on vacation shortly after install and wasn't able to set up appt to fix this until 33 days after the install. Geek squad is solid on their 30 days workmanship guarantee. So if you have a problem, be sure to contact them right away. Then you won't have to pay to have them come back and fix what they did wrong.

Thought that a charge of $50.00 was excessive for connecting sound bar (purchased at BestBuy) to optical input on TV. No other adjustments, settings, etc. Just plugged it in.

Appointment cancelled twice. First, Total Tech said they did not have the item in stock. Funny, it was there when I purchased the items. Second, cancelled with no call and when I called Best Buy, they said, "That's funny, I see the appointment was cancelled, but it doesn't say why" Don't get your hopes up, when dealing with total tech.

Geek Squad used a 3rd party installer to set up the TV and the soundbar he never got it set up right. I had to have a Geek Squad tech back to make the whole thing work.

The technician that was sent out was not familiar with my product.
He was on the phone trying to get help but still couldn't get everything working, He had to go to another call and said they would send out somebody that was familiar with the equipment. Nobody has come out or even tried to contact us. I even requested to be called when filling out the questionaire they sent me.

Don’t let Best Buy subcontract in home service

It is extremely important to request that an actual Geek Squad agent do an in home service, Best Buy subcontracts with other companies. I had a terrible experience with a subcontractor who had no idea how to connect a Sonos system, even though the service call instructions were clear as to what was needed, I only would recommend Geek Squad in home service if it is not subcontracted.

I'm not sure why I paid for this service other than the Geek Squad was already at my house doing the installation of the TV over a fire place. It's not worth the money to install a sound bar.

Deliverd the tv to the room that we wanted it in, attached the stand to the screen, started it up and depending on your other equipment they pluged the cables in the way your setup is. You must provide all the your own cables.

Get job,but no instructions on how to use it except verbal. They should have been written down. I have no idea how to make it work when someone else pushes the buttons and it no longer works.

Service person parked in the middle of the street, sat in the car never came to the door and after 10 minutes drove off. I would've never known if it wasn't for my ring camera. So I requested a refund called Samsung and did it myself. I completely dissatisfied by the entire team from start to finish. I lost a day of vacation for that too

The guys came and installed the sound bar, sub, and satellite speakers but did not program the universal remote that came with the Bose system. They tried to sell me a universal remote and another install but we declined. When I called and questioned why my remote wasn't programed I was told it was another charge to do that. This is not what we were told when we purchased the units and scheduled the install! If the remote is part of the system it should be part of the install!!

Everything worked ok except that he put the sound bar in front of the receptors on the TV for the remote and I had to move it down to a drawer in the TV stand that I pulled out.
