    Easy set up for a universal remote.

    No matter what others say, setting up a universal remote can be a pain in the neck for fat thumbed, easily frustrated people such as I. Geek Squad made it look easy and spared me a lot of grief. Many thanks.

    Sound bar drops off and you have to go into menu and turn it back on not what i expected for over 600.00

    Geek Squad try fix the communication between tv and receiver but wasn't able to fix it .

    Geek squad installed my Bose headphones

    The Bose noise cancelling headphones work fine for regular TV. HOWEVER, they did not set up my earphones to work with Netfkix or Prime Video. What's the use of paying for GEEKSQUAD if they don't do anything for everything you watch and use my Bose Cancelling Noise earphones. Very frustrated. Also TV will not urned off the way he set it up in my bedroom. I try and I try and it takes forever to turn off tv with remote and sound bar remote Gotta get the same guy out here to fix his mistakes. I better not be charged for his mistakes. Also, TV we purchased has a glitch in the picture. A thick vertical line runs down the middle of the picture about every 10 minutes and obstructs the view. Gotta call manager to see if they can replace it . We just spent a lot of money to purchase a lot of items from best buy and have Geek squad install it. Very displeased and frustrated. I'll be calling manager and geek squad today.

    Did not come with proper tools and set was not completed the first time came out multiple times

    Not a “smart” tv install ….

    Sound bar continues to fail. The unit has power, and all indicators reflect it is the default audio output, but it frequently goes absolutely dead …. as it is right now. Very frustrating. Clearly a bad setup between the Sony “smart TV” and my Apple TV 4K.

    No knowledge of how to setup my system

    I understand Arcams are difficult to calibrate but I was told Geek Squad should be able to to a basic hookup. Derek did say he wasn't familiar with Arcam recievers or Thorens phono pre-amps. He plugged and unplugged the Thorens cables w/o muting the sound. He had no concern for the distorted sound coming out of my speakers and sub. He sent the test signals thru them at such a loud volume that I thought they were gonna be damaged. Saying he had another apt to get to, he literally left in such a hurry that I didn't realize only my center channel speaker was actually working - just very faint sound coming out of the others including the sub. Haven't been able to get any better sound since. Disgustingly poor knowledge and service! NOTE: All other times over the years, Geek Squad services have been excellent.... professional and knowledgeable. But not this time!!

    Geek Squad in big hurry!

    The installation was done quickly, but failed in several areas! I have a 3 tier stand, but they put soundbar on the top tier blocking the TV sensor. They failed to connect the rear channel speakers, which I payed for with installation of previous s-bar!!

    A third party installed all of our equipment and set up this sound bar incorrectly and the geek squad had to come out and reprogram it for us. They also had to show us how to use it because the other guy was supposed to but didn’t show us anything! But, at least we got our money back for the installation.

    This was the second time to our house for this item. They did not even know they had to bring the bracket. We were lucky they had one in the truck. During the whole process there was a lack of communication between best buy and the third party who instilled our items.

    who ever took this appointment on the phone did not listen. it was not for a sound bar but for a dvd recorder. the techs that came did a wonderful job and did fix the recorder but your phone service stinks.

    I ordered this on 12/24/24, it did not get delivered until mid March ‘25 due to a variety of excuses. Then, the installers did not set up the rear speakers. I just returned the item, waste of time.

While this service would cover connecting and setting up many audio components of your home theater, it would not include an in depth consultation on your home theater system.
