I helped unpack, hang and level it. The guy must have been new or lazy because I ended up running the cables. He did not even know how to work the tv. Make sure you ask for a best buy worker not 3rd party it is worth the wait.

I would never use the Best Buy/Geek Squad installation services again. I paid for premium mounting because I explained over the phone exactly what the installation would entail and that it was a little more complicated than just hanging a TV on a wall. I was assured they could take care of it and make sure everything was hooked up and in working order. The TV was going over a fireplace, in the same spot as an existing TV that had burned out and needed replacing. All wires were already run behind the wall and into an adjacent cabinet. There was an amplifier which powered small surround sound speakers, the Verizon cable box, and the TV wires. The first crew came and removed the old TV, but told me they could not use the existing mount for the new TV. He told me what to buy, and I rescheduled them to come back. I specifically requested that SAME crew to return, since they already knew the "lay of the land". When the second appointment came, it was two new guys, and unfortunately we had a huge communication issue. He had to facetime with his boss to show him the job, which did not instill any confidence in me that he was capable of doing the job, and also so his boss could talk to me. He talked him through it and assured me it would be fine. Thankfully, they did install the mounting hardware and get the TV on the wall, but apparently when the old TV was disconnected, the HDMI cables must have been yanked out because they were damaged. So I was instructed to go buy a new HDMI cable, and make another appointment. I called customer service right away to schedule it, and I was told it would be 2 1/2 weeks before they could come back. I asked to speak to a supervisor, explaining all that already occurred, was put on hold for 15 min and then disconnected. I drove to the Best Buy store and got a cable and spoke in person to a Geek Squad rep. She said someone would be in touch with me. That was 2 1/2 weeks ago. I also called and did an online chat. The customer "service" has been non-existent. I finally called a carpenter that I've used before and paid him to come and hook up the new cable and make sure everything worked. So, I paid Best Buy for an installation that they never completed, and paid someone else too. FYI, the people who showed up here were from a third party company - it was not the actual "geek squad". To b, it's not the fair, it's not their fault that the mounting hardware I had wouldn't work, and whether or not it's their fault that the HDMI cables had to be replaced we will never know, and is neither here nor there at this point. From the time the first appointment occurred on Jan 27th, my job was listed as "completed" on my account page. When they left the first time, the TV was in a box. When they left the second time, it was on the wall, but not hooked up. So, no one was getting back to me to reschedule anything I guess because it was listed as "completed", and even with repeated attempts to contact customer service, this review is my only chance to explain this situation. My hope is that someone will agree that at least a partial refund is in order.
