Geek Squad mounted the TV in no time flat and set up was a breeze

This service was an absolute disaster. I ordered online. According to the installation technician, Best Buy's subcontractor did not receive a complete work order from Best Buy. On the date of the install the "premium" features of the premium install could not be completed, because those items were not made part of the install. This included hiding the wires and cables in the wall. I called Best Buy, who contacted the subcontractor's supervisor. The supervisor told me I would have to get Best Buy to modify the work order. She told me this would need to be done through the manager of Geek Squad at my local store. I called my local store. The manager of Geek Squad could not modify the order, but he believed the manager of Home Theater could. That manager called me back and told me that he could not, and that I would need to call the corporate Geek Squad line to modify the order. I called and spoke with someone who told me they would schedule an appointment to finish the installation the following Monday. I requested time off work to be there at the window of 12pm to 8pm. The Friday before I received an email stating that, "per my request," my appointment had been canceled. I had not made such a request. I could not modify the appointment online, and I was directed to the corporate number again. I learned from another Geek Squad member that the Home Theater manager at my local store had canceled the appointment, with a note that Geek Squad should not be finishing subcontractor work. I was transferred to another Geek Squad member from corporate, who told me that the subcontractor needed to request that the work order be modified. She said she would call them to look into the issue. That afternoon I received a call from the subcontractor, telling me they would be out on Monday between 12pm - 4pm to finish the job. Geek Squad's automated system seemed to acknowledge the new appointment, telling me I had a repair upcoming. However, that time passed and no one came. I called the Best Buy Installation line and they told me that they could not confirm that a contractor was coming. I requested a refund, and I was told to call Geek Squad. I called Geek Squad and spoke to one representative who attempted to process a refund for me. Her name was Mandy, and she is the single reason why this receives a one star rather than a zero star review. She was understanding and attempted to fix the issue. I was honest with her and told her that I didn't feel like I should receive a full refund, as the work was completed in part. Mandy told me she wanted to process a refund, but couldn't. She checked with their "front desk," who said that Installations and Delivery would need to handle the refund. She placed me on hold. Installations and Delivery checked into the refund, and told me that they wanted to process it, but that it would have to be Home Theater that processed it. I waited on hold until the 1 hour and 12 minute mark, and then the Best Buy line hung up on me. Since then I've tried to call back and have gotten no response. I have asked for a return phone call via the automated system, and at 5:51pm this evening I received a call saying that my call would be returned in 10 minutes, and it's now 6:35pm. I would not recommend this service to anyone. This has been an absolute disaster, and the installation left exposed wiring that my son can trip over. Do not waste your time and money on incomplete services and representatives who don't respect your time.
