A soft picture mars this 4k remaster
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Either the cinematography was originally purposely diffused by the DP or somebody at Warner Home Video fell asleep at the DNR switch (perhaps both??), but Batman Begins is easily the least best of the newly 4k mastered Nolan trilogy on UHD Blu-ray. They didn't even bother rescuing the sound mix from Nolan's typically tone deaf approach to audio engineering... no Dolby Atmos remix either. And yet it still looks better overall compared to the original Blu-ray release. A buy, but with some reservations.

A new era for Batman

Christian Bale makes for a believable Batman and is supported by such acting legends as Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman in a stylish, well designed film filled with action and spectacular special effects.

Christopher Nolan redefines the Batman mythology

It's largely considered the first chapter of what many consider to be the best portrayal of Batman on the silver screen. Christian Bale draws you into the soul of the character and he supported by a group of stellar actors, including Cillian Murphy, Morgan Freeman, and Gary Old man. (Katie Holmes was a misstep in the casting.) Highly recommended!
